Commercial use of Image:FCMdrug.svg

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Image:FCMdrug.svg, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. Economic inequality

Yes and no. Not around #27: it's essentially a restatement of a very early controversy in the Church, the Donatist issue, while also being wary of how conformist the ministers were. Around 42, yes: Frederick Denison Maurice's firing from King's springs to mind, and it was a relatively major issue for some others. Le Cholera image from "Le Petit Journal"

Hello, DL5MDA -

In January, you edited a drawing taken from a Le Petit Journal supplementary publication and used to illustrate the article: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Cholera.jpg .

The original uploader, Folcrum, seems to be gone from WP. They posted a description to the image that states:

Drawing about the Cholera in Le Petit Journal. Uploaded from [1]. More than 100 years, public domain. (from: en.wikipedia.org)

There's no further citation given: no date, no issue number, no repository given. Since you expressed such an interest in this image, have you followed up on this? When zooming the image, it seems to be from December 1912, but it's difficult to verify this due to the poor resolution. If 1912 is the correct year, then the image isn't "More than 100 years".

What have your researches revealed about this image? A citation is definitely needed. Thanks for your help. Wordreader (talk) 02:45, 5 January 2011 (UTC)

Hoover Index, Robin Hood Index

"An Easter Greeting"

Hi. I was wondering if you had a RS for the "printing at his own expense" part of your recent edit? I agree that the Easter Greeting is important. :) I would also appreciate your thoughts on where the "... And if I have written anything to add to those stores of innocent and healthy amusement that are laid up in books for the children I love so well, it is surely something I may hope to look back upon without shame and sorrow (as how much of life must then be recalled!) when my turn comes to walk through the valley of shadows. ..." quote should go or how to best incorporate it into the text, as on its own, it is a bit confusing. Large quotes usually tend not to go in the lead, which is supposed to be a summary of the article. Sorry...

Hi. The greeting has been inserted into the 1st print of the book only. http://www.alephbet.com/pages/books/33979/lewis-carroll/hunting-of-the-snark-with-an-easter-greeting-to-every-child also could mean, that only a small part of the 1st edition includes the greeting. --DL5MDA (talk) 06:51, 5 June 2014 (UTC)

Ooooh. Whoops. That makes a difference now, doesn't it? :) As for the 1st edition, Martin Gardner speculates that, because many of the 1st editions have the greeting, it's a possibility that all of them had it at one point. Actually, I don't really know, because the alephbet.com page and Gardner's assumptions don't really match. As for the Snark, there are lots of speculations, including Gardener's and mine. Probably Carroll and Holiday intentionally created a that speculation generator :-) Whatsoever, I got one of those 1st edition books and once it will be in the mailbox, I'll take a picture of those pages which have been inserted into the book after it was printed. --DL5MDA (talk) 20:42, 12 June 2014 (UTC)
