Duplicate images uploaded edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Ramah06.jpg. A machine-controlled robot account noticed that you uploaded the same image twice: as Image:Ramah06.jpg and also as Image:Ramah06.JPG. The latter copy of the file has been marked for speedy deletion since it is redundant. If this sounds okay to you, there is no need for you to take any action.

This is an automated message- you have not upset or annoyed anyone. In the future, you may save yourself some confusion if you supply a meaningful file name and remember exactly which name you chose (file names are case sensitive, including the extension) so that you won't lose track of your uploads. For tips on good file naming, see Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions about this notice, or feel that the deletion is inappropriate, please contact User:Staecker, who operates the robot account. Staeckerbot 01:31, 17 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

May 2007 edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. We invite everyone to contribute constructively to our encyclopedia. However, adding content without citing a reliable source, as you did to BSUSY, is not consistent with our policy of verifiability. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Curran (talk) 00:55, 18 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

June 2007 edit

Please refrain from introducing inappropriate pages, such as Camp Ramah in the Poconos, to Wikipedia. Doing so is not in accordance with our policies. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. Matt - TheFearow 02:10, 7 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Camp Ramah in the Poconos edit

The reason I nominated it was becuase it is a small article with no real usefull information that could not be gotten from the title alone - All it says is that its a Camp Ramah located in the Poconos, which can be made out from the title. Also, when leaving messages on others pages please sign your posts with four tildes (~~~~). I did not say it is inappropriate - rather that it didn't seem to be important from the description provided. I have changed the tag to the more appropriate G1 criteria, and I will give more information on the talk page.

Thanks, and if you have other questions, don't hesitate to ask me. Matt - TheFearow 03:32, 7 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion of The Nonexistent Knight edit

A tag has been placed on The Nonexistent Knight requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. Jb0007 (talk) 23:26, 2 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of The Nonexistent Knight edit

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article The Nonexistent Knight, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. lifebaka (talk - contribs) 11:19, 28 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Pittsburgh event for Wikipedia's tenth anniversary edit

Hi! Since you're listed as a Wikipedian in Pittsburgh, I wanted to invite you to the Wikipedia Tenth Anniversary celebrations we're having in Pittsburgh on Saturday, January 15. During the daytime, we're going to be having a photo contribution drive where anyone can bring in their digital photos or prints and Wikipedians will teach people how to upload them and add them to articles, and maybe introduction to Wikipedia workshops as well. Then in the evening, we'll have fun at the Carson City Saloon. There will be free Wikipedia t-shirts and other goodies, as well. See the Pittsburgh meetup page for more details. I hope to see you there!--ragesoss (talk) 15:07, 1 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open! edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
