Regarding your complaints about the deletion of Ellifain edit

Please stop creating articles that complain about the proposed deletion of Ellifain. The article is currently not listed for deletion. Instead of complaining about something that is not currently happening, I recommend that you refocus on improving the article. Thank you. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 01:32, 1 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

Re your message: The article was never deleted. It's at Ellifain. As for your "payback", vandalism is not tolerated at Wikipedia. Please stop. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 01:39, 1 June 2008 (UTC)Reply
Re your message. Your restart of the article that you did earlier today was never deleted. It was tagged for deletion, but the deletion never occurred. Previous incarnations of the article were deleted on September 2, 2007 and October 27, 2007 as seen here, which was done well before you created your account. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 01:49, 1 June 2008 (UTC)Reply
Re your message: It's okay. The message left by NeoNerd can be rather confusing to read, especially if you are new. Anyways, I did a little cleanup of the article to start to make it conform to Wikipedia standards, but it will needs quite a bit of work. You might want to look at the Drizzt Do'Urden article and use that as a guide to how the article should look.
Welcome to Wikipedia, by the way. You might want to read the help section which has a lot of good information on how to contributed to Wikipedia. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 02:05, 1 June 2008 (UTC)Reply
Re your message: I see that you already found the editor who changed your article to a redirect. I suggest that you reconsider the tone of your comment to Seraphimblade‎ and ask nicely about it instead of using so many exclamation points. Seraphimblade's edit summary explained why the change was done. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 05:06, 2 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

To further clarify, I changed the article to a redirect as its subject does not appear to be notable, that is, it is not covered by multiple non-trivial sources independent of the subject. Forgotten Realms is unquestionably notable, but that does not necessarily mean that every character or work from it is, as notability is not inherited. Hope that helps! Your recent edits edit

Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. If you can't type the tilde character, you should click on the signature button   located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot (talk) 01:45, 1 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

Re: Help edit

It's called a redirect. Many exist, they are common. Your article was redirected to Forgotten Realms because it cited absolutely no sources for the information that was there. That is a policy we have on WP, we do not put what is true, but what is true and can be verified.— dαlusT@lk / Improve\ Contribs 02:31, 2 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

Notability of Ellifain edit

A tag has been placed on Ellifain requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. — dαlusT@lk / Improve\ Contribs 17:14, 7 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

Edit warring at Ellifain edit

If you cannot provide third-party sources (that is, those outside of the works of fiction themselves) which address the subject in a primarily out-of-universe (that is, its importance to the real world, not the fictional setting), it is not appropriate for an article. Continuing to write or reinstate inappropriate material can lead to a block from editing. Please see our guidelines on reliable sourcing and notability for further information. Seraphimblade Talk to me 18:04, 7 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

Linking to another article does not create nobility, as noblity is not inherited. You must provide 3rd party sources(book reviews, etc) as to why the subject is notable, as said, outside of the universe in the books.— dαlusT@lk / Improve\ Contribs 19:54, 7 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

AfD nomination of Ellifain edit

I have nominated Ellifain, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Ellifain. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. — dαlus Contribs /Improve 02:36, 4 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

August 2010 edit

Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Mafia (party game). Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you. McGeddon (talk) 21:07, 9 August 2010 (UTC)Reply
