Re: Tax Day

You might be right, the United States may be the only country with a specific tax day. I just assumed, when I threw the tag up, that there must be a "tax day" in some other country.

One thing to remember is that although this version of Wikipedia is in English, it doesn't mean we only cover topics in English speaking countries. All articles should represent a worldwide perspective, if applicable.

So the bottom line - feel free to take that banner down on the page if the United States is the only country with one specific tax day, or as you said, the only country that has such a phrase.

I hope you are enjoying your editing here on Wikipedia. You have made some great contributions thus far! If I can help you out with anything, or if you have some pointers for me, feel free to let me know! Happy editing, Chupper 17:19, 16 April 2007 (UTC)

RE:re: trusting admins

Actually, I don't think that RFPP is slow at all right now. If a user thinks a page needs to be protected, they can just ask. We evaluate the situation (which usually takes about a minute to check over the history) and make a decision. I'd rather not make it harder for regular users or admins. Some users are already discouraged by it. And it really isn't that hard if there are 50 extra requests if 3-4 admins work on it. -Royalguard11(Talk·Review Me!) 22:41, 29 May 2007 (UTC)

Game of the Century

Hello,

I received your message about the changes made to the http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Game_of_the_Century_%28college_football%29 page.

These changes are not vandalism. They are constructive edits.

The game of the century is generally regarded to be the 1971 Nebraska Oklahoma game. The other games, while significant and memorable, should be in a separate category reflecting their separate status.

I believe the members who keep adding game after game to reflect their personal sentiments are diluting the category to the point of meaninglessness. My changes are an attempt to keep Wikipedia accurate, reliable and 'on point.'

If you insist that dilution of this category be allowed then despite my disagreement, from this day forward I will abide by your decision.

By the way, I did not go to that school and have no particular or personal interest in the game. My interest is in not permitting the mob to rewrite history.

Sincerely, Michael7601

Well, it's not like I actually called it vandalism! Although I think you probably just copied and pasted this to a couple other people :). I was just thinking it might be better to discuss the topic on the talk page than to remove stuff wholesale with no comments CredoFromStart talk 15:47, 4 June 2007 (UTC)

State terrorism by the United States AfD

In this article for deletion discussion you seemed to have cast three separate (and different) "votes" on the article. I'm wondering if you thought the division into "sections" meant that we were voting on different sections of the article? The AfD page was divided into sections to make editing it easier--we only give our opinion to keep or delete one time and about the article as a whole. If you understood that then I guess I'm confused by your edits to the AfD page, which seem contradictory. Can you clarify?--Bigtimepeace | talk | contribs 17:46, 28 June 2007 (UTC)

Thanks, I figured that was the case. I agree with you that the topic deserves coverage regardless of the validity of the allegations, but there's strong disagreement about this (as evidenced by the number of AfD's that have already occurred). I guess we'll see what happens.--Bigtimepeace | talk | contribs 17:53, 28 June 2007 (UTC)

Chubs and Disambiguation

Greetings. Recently, on Tue 16 Oct, I constructed a disambiguation page for the various fish known as chubs. After having done so, I began to contemplate whether that page and the current Chub page might be better named. I posted a discussion on the Chub page but it's not yet received any comment. I noticed from the article's revision history that you had made one or more contributions to the page. Consequently, I thought I might profit from your advice at Talk:Chub#Page title if you have a moment or two to spare. Thanks. — Dave (Talk | contribs) 03:37, 18 October 2007 (UTC)

DJ Disco Wiz

Hey Credo,

I'm not sure if you are active these days but I wanted to ask if you could place an "internal" link on DJ Disco Wiz from the Hip Hop post located at: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hip_Hop_Music

Much appreciated!

Peace, Ivan Sanchez ivan.sanchez@stihl.us www.isanchez.com

Rollback permission

I noticed you occasionally do vandal fighting. I have granted you rollback permission to make it easier to undo vandal edits. I granted this because you do not seem to have a history of edit warring. Rollback is not to be used for edit warring or content disputes, and may be rescinded if you use it that way. This feature was formerly restricted to administrators only but is now available to users in good standing. To learn more about how to use rollback, please see Wikipedia:New admin school/Rollback. Keep up the good work! —dgiestc 16:58, 15 February 2008 (UTC)
