File permission problem with File:Red lips wall decal example.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading File:Red lips wall decal example.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. /ƒETCHCOMMS/ 14:42, 1 November 2011 (UTC)Reply

I looked into this, and it seems that permission has only been given to license the text of Wall decal under the Creative Commons Attribution-Sharealike 3.0 license. Another email must be sent by the copyright holder of the image to verify that this image has also been released under a free license. /ƒETCHCOMMS/ 14:46, 1 November 2011 (UTC)Reply
Hi There. This has all been done and dusted months ago. Please view Talk:Wall_decal. Why must this process be repeated??? The author has sent ALL the relevant emails to permissions-en@wikimedia.org. CreativelySpecialised (talk) 06:44, 2 November 2011 (UTC)Reply
Apparently not. Fetchcomms read the actual email and he said that the email didn't give proper permission. I've extended the timer one more time, but after this it will probably be deleted. Magog the Ogre (talk) 18:15, 14 November 2011 (UTC)Reply
Then why did Fechcomms approve it before? Why are you wasting your time with this? Honestly there are much more pressing issues needing assistance on Wikipedia, while you are trying to remove a valuable contribution that is really helpful from an article because "apparently" someone made a mistake with the approval. Come on... 41.213.121.148 (talk) 06:09, 15 November 2011 (UTC)Reply
Because we want Wikipedia to be as free as possible - but also because we want to comply with copyright laws. Unlike some presences on the internet, we don't turn a blind eye to copyright theft. If someone only says that something can be used on Wikipedia, then it immediately violates our charter saying the content should be accessible to everyone, everywhere, under any circumstances (including not Wikipedia). These procedures have come down right from the top, from the Wikimedia founder and in-house lawyer. And many of us consider this to be of as much importance as anything else on Wikipedia. Sorry. Magog the Ogre (talk) 18:01, 15 November 2011 (UTC)Reply
I Understand. Please can you then look at the emails send by the author to Wikipedia where the author gave permission. We can simply reuse those messages. 41.132.113.40 (talk) 06:46, 19 November 2011 (UTC)Reply
I do not have access to OTRS, so I can't fulfill your request; you'll have to find an admin with OTRS access to deal with this. Skier Dude (talk) 05:29, 13 June 2012 (UTC)Reply
I will ask the author to email permissions-enwikimedia.org again asking for the image rights as well. CreativelySpecialised (talk) 06:17, 13 June 2012 (UTC)Reply
Author has confirmed the email has been sent, please confirm and then revoke the deletion. CreativelySpecialised (talk) 06:39, 13 June 2012 (UTC)Reply
It appears that someone has taken care of this, but you probably should check with User talk:Fetchcomms to verify that all is OK (needs an OTRS admin) Skier Dude (talk) 05:10, 19 June 2012 (UTC)Reply
Thanx. I have let him know. CreativelySpecialised (talk) 06:07, 19 June 2012 (UTC)Reply

Les dane moved to draftspace edit

An article you recently created, Les dane, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page.
