Welcome!

Hello Creativecognizants, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, some of your edits have not conformed to Wikipedia's Manual of Style, and have to be changed. Please familiarize yourself with the guidelines shown there. All edits that don't comply with these guidelines are changed to match what our MoS recommends.

There's a great page about the Manual of Style that has tips on how to effectively write new articles. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the Wikipedia Boot Camp, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}} on your user page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome!  (talk→ BWilkins ←track) 11:16, 29 September 2011 (UTC)Reply

Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, the username you have chosen (Creativecognizants) seems to imply that you are editing on behalf of a group, company or website.

There are two issues with this:

  1. It is possible that you have a conflict of interest. In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, you must exercise great caution when editing on topics related to your organization or adding links to its website.
  2. Your account cannot represent a group of people. You may wish to create a new account with a username that represents only you. Alternatively, you may consider changing your username to avoid giving the impression that your personal account is being used for promotional purposes.

Regardless of whether you change your name or create a new account, you are not exempted from the guidelines concerning editing where you have a conflict of interest. For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. Thank you. I have been looking at your editing history, and unfortunately there seem to be several problems with your editing. Your edit to Retail replaced correct information with factually incorrect information, with no explanation. You edit to User talk:Jimbo Wales changed layout of other people's talk page comments, in a way which made it more difficult to follow the thread of the discussion. Your edits to Cognizant Technology Solutions introduced promotional material, and expressed a personal point of view, rather than reporting objective fact. All of these edits have been reverted.
