Welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that your username, "Authorized person", may not meet Wikipedia's username policy because Your username may suggest that you have an elevated access level, i.e. that you are authorized for something special. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. As an alternative, you may ask for a change of username by completing the form at Special:GlobalRenameRequest, or you may simply create a new account for editing. Thank you. —Alalch E. 20:00, 2 April 2023 (UTC)Reply

I had the same thought so I put in a request on the global rename request page after looking for a new one on global name search. Authorized person (talk) 20:18, 2 April 2023 (UTC)Reply

You can contribute to the discussion about username at the page for requests for comment on usernames. Alternatively, if you agree that your username may be problematic and are willing to change it, it is possible for you to keep your present contributions history under a new name. Simply request a new name at Wikipedia:Changing username following the guidelines on that page, rather than creating a whole new account. Thank you. —Alalch E. 20:01, 2 April 2023 (UTC)Reply

I've changed my user name to an expletive my mother would use, suitable for the general public. Crappy Sue (talk) 03:46, 7 April 2024 (UTC)Reply
