Cozycot
Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on CozyCot, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because CozyCot is blatant advertising for a company, product, group, service or person that would require a substantial rewrite in order to become an encyclopedia article.
To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting CozyCot, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. FYI conflict of interest guideline
editIf you have a close connection to some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article CozyCot, you may have a conflict of interest. In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, edits where there is a conflict of interest, or where such a conflict might reasonably be inferred from the tone of the edit and the proximity of the editor to the subject, are strongly discouraged. If you have a conflict of interest, you should avoid or exercise great caution when:
- editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with;
- participating in deletion discussions about articles related to your organization or its competitors;
- linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam); and,
- avoid breaching relevant policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.
For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for businesses. For more details about what, exactly, constitutes a conflict of interest, please see our conflict of interest guidelines. Thank you. — Athaenara ✉ 19:11, 28 January 2009 (UTC)
Consider changing usernames
editWikipedia:Username policy#Company/group names says
“ | Use of Wikipedia for promotion of a company or group is not permitted, and accounts that do this will be blocked. Use of a company or group name as a username is not explicitly prohibited, but it is not recommended, and depending on the circumstances may be seen as a problem. Similarly, editing with a possible conflict of interest, such as editing an article about your employer, is not disallowed, but anyone wishing to do so is advised to read the Business' FAQ.
Accounts that represent an entire group or company are not permitted; see Sharing accounts below. |
” |
Your account is yours, not your company's. Companies and organizations cannot have accounts in their own right, nor can an account be set up for a "role," such as "company Wikipedia editor." Should you cease being affiliated with the web site or company "Cozycot" you will take it with you or it will lie dormant, it cannot be transferred to another person. If you set up this account for your company and they insist that the account is not "yours," it should not be used again and you should create another for yourself. If you wish to rename the account, see Wikipedia:Username policy#Changing your username. I would encourage you to read through the entire username policy as well as the conflict of interest and Business' FAQ links in the quoted text above. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs)/(e-mail) 02:58, 29 January 2009 (UTC)
