Snow White

edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. I have reverted your edit to Snow White for the following reasons:

  • it was marked as "minor" despite adding nearly 6k of content.
  • the writing style suggests that this is a fringe theory. If presented at all the content must be drastically summarised in order to avoid undue weight.
  • although you provided some references (well done!), the latter content in particular does not seem to be adequately supported.
  • are the references to books reliable sources? Self-published books are not reliable sources, for example. I was unable to find a convincing publisher's web page for the first reference.

If you think that some or all of this information should appear in the article despite these reservations, please open a section on Talk:Snow White to seek input from other editors (many more knowledgeable about fairy tales than I). The essay Bold, Revert, Discuss describes this commonly used way of achieving consensus for contested updates.

I hope you like Wikipedia and decide to stay, despite the above comments! Here are a few good links for newcomers:

Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question or ask me on my talk page.

If replying to a talk page entry, we normally precede each paragraph by one more colon to indent it, as I have done here.

Please always complete the edit summary for every update, this helps other editors understand what you have done and why.

Again, welcome! --Mirokado (talk) 17:52, 1 January 2012 (UTC)Reply
