MAOR KATZ!
editNew Project
editMyself and several other editors have been compiling a list of very active editors who would likely be available to help new editors in the event they have questions or concerns. As the list grew and the table became more detailed, it was determined that the best way to complete the table was to ask each potential candidate to fill in their own information, if they so desire. This list is sorted geographically in order to provide a better estimate as to whether the listed editor is likely to be active.
If you consider yourself a very active Wikipedian who is willing to help newcomers, please either complete your information in the table or add your entry. If you do not want to be on the list, either remove your name or just disregard this message and your entry will be removed within 48 hours. The table can be found at User:Useight/Highly Active, as it has yet to have been moved into the Wikipedia namespace. Thank you for your help. Useight (talk) 07:03, 3 May 2008 (UTC)
Wikipedia Fiji Hindi Test Project
editohai, if you confirm that the test project on the Incubator is written in Hindi Fiji and not crappy, you get to shoot Pathoschild.--§hanel 02:11, 4 May 2008 (UTC)
TOCA Race Driver 3
editYou reverted my most recent edit, which was an effort to clean up possibly the worst Wikipedia article I've ever seen. I left a not on the talk page of that article describing the work that should be done on the article, and I attached the cleanup and expert templates to try to fix the article. Please reconsider your revert. Thanks! CuttlefishTech (talk) 12:08, 5 May 2008 (UTC)
Hiya

The new rights
editDon't worry, I'm not going to give the new right out to people who'll abuse it. :) Where's the new policy page? Acalamari 18:17, 9 May 2008 (UTC)
Hi, the addition of the birthdate info to this article [2] was unsourced, so as it was in a WP:BLP I removed it. Do you have a WP:V/WP:RS source for this new info? Cirt (talk) 14:55, 14 May 2008 (UTC)
- That source [3] verifies the date, but what about the year? Cirt (talk) 06:37, 15 May 2008 (UTC)
Hello . The Highly Active Users project has gone through a complete revamping per popular demand. We believe this new format will make it easier for new editors to find assistance. However, with the new format, I must again ask you to verify your information on this page. With the extensive changes, I may have made some errors. Thanks again. bibliomaniac15 02:05, 17 May 2008 (UTC)
- You will also need to add [[Category:Wikipedians who use StatusBot]] to your userpage in order for SoxBot V to automatically update your online/offline status. If you do not added this text, you will always be listed as "offline" at HAU. Thanks. Useight (talk) 02:54, 17 May 2008 (UTC)
My Recent Rfa
editI would just like to say thanks for the neutral vote in my recent RFA. I will still say thanks as from your comments and the other users comments that opposed me and gave me a neutral vote have made me make a todo list for before my next RFA. I hope I will have resolved all of the issues before then and I hope that you would be able to support me in the future. If you would like to reply to this message or have any more suggestions for me then please message me on my talk page as I will not be checking back here. Thanks again. ·Add§hore· Talk/Cont 16:33, 20 May 2008 (UTC)
My RfA
editHey Cometstyles. I would like to thank you for your support in my RfA and the confidence expressed thereby. I appreciate your trust. :) Best wishes, —αἰτίας •discussion• 18:51, 24 May 2008 (UTC)
I removed your suggestion from the "page move vandalism" section WP:AN, not because it wasn't good, but because it was too good. These characteristic edit patterns, as you correctly pointed out, make it extremely easy for a bot or script to catch new instances of this vandalbot before it does too much damage. If the vandalbot's author realises how easy it really is, they could very easily change its code to make it more difficult to spot. I'm playing around with a script to identify these vandal accounts from Special:Recentchanges, and it sounds like a couple of other people are doing the same. The longer the vandalbot's author remains ignorant of the fact that his bot is really not very sophisticated, the more effective we'll be at stopping him. Happy‑melon 13:43, 27 May 2008 (UTC)
- I would take that as a compliment ^_^ ...--Cometstyles 13:46, 27 May 2008 (UTC)
