Welcome! edit

Hello, Coleencompton, and welcome to Wikipedia! My name is Elysia and I work with the Wiki Education Foundation; I help support students who are editing as part of a class assignment.

I hope you enjoy editing here. If you haven't already done so, please check out the student training library, which introduces you to editing and Wikipedia's core principles. You may also want to check out the Teahouse, a community of Wikipedia editors dedicated to helping new users. Below are some resources to help you get started editing.

Disappearance of Heather Elvis edit

Hi, Coleen. I saw that you had left a notice at the article's talk page. I hope you enjoy any work you do on it.

I wrote and researched it, so if you have any questions about what is or isn't in the article feel free to ask me on my talk page, or the article's (it's on my watchlist, so I'll be aware of it). Daniel Case (talk) 20:47, 29 October 2019 (UTC)Reply

Your edit to Autism spectrum disorder edit

A couple of comments about this edit. Note that rather than inserting the same citation again and again, you should insert it once and then re-use the existing citation. Also, I can't find OCLC 677273153, but I think you actually are meaning to cite DOI 10.1007/s10803-009-0832-2. You should just use that DOI when you create your citation. References edit

Just follow the steps 1, 2 and 3 as shown and fill in the details

Thank you for contributing to Wikipedia. Remember that when adding content about health, please only use high-quality reliable sources as references. We typically use review articles, major textbooks and position statements of national or international organizations. (There are several kinds of sources that discuss health: here is how the community classifies them and uses them.) WP:MEDHOW walks you through editing step by step. A list of resources to help edit health content can be found here. The edit box has a built-in citation tool to easily format references based on the PMID or ISBN.

  1. While editing any article or a wikipage, on the top of the edit window you will see a toolbar which has a button "Cite" click on it
  2. Then click on "Automatic" or "Manual"
  3. For Manual: Choose the most appropriate template and fill in the details, then click "Insert"
  4. For Automatic: Paste the URL or PMID/PMC and click "Generate" and if the article is available on PubMed Central, Citoid will populate a citation which can be inserted by clicking "Insert"

We also provide style advice about the structure and content of medicine-related encyclopedia articles. The welcome page is another good place to learn about editing the encyclopedia. If you have any questions, please feel free to drop me a note. Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 11:45, 9 November 2019 (UTC)Reply
