Edit Warring edit

Based on you edit history, you appear to be continuing an edit war previously perpetuated by an IP editor. Your purpose seems to be removal of all references to advertisements. I can understand why you might consider this unencyclopedic, but your are unambiguously edit warring, and this must stop. Please discuss your removal of content on the articles' talk pages. This is particularly important for content that is sourced. Thank you. 78.26 (spin me / revolutions) 15:46, 19 June 2019 (UTC)Reply

I have also been reviewing your edit history and second the above request. There are clear signs of sock puppetry, and you have never left an edit summary or attempted discussion when your edits are challenged. Your editing behavior needs to change. Then this is why Commercials I Hate and Am I Right exist thanks to the retail apocalypse. Why can't we take things out if that's what happens? — Preceding unsigned comment added by CodyFinke2019 (talkcontribs) 17:55, June 19, 2019 (UTC)
Wikipedia is a collaborative effort to build an encyclopedia in accordance with community established guidelines. We are expected to conform to implicit (temporal) and explicit consensus, and discuss disputed content in order to reach it. There are many opinions about everything, and certainly many conflicting opinions, but on Wikipedia, we must sometimes accept that even though we may feel strongly that certain content should not be included, the general consensus disagrees with us. You are far more likely to have the articles you are interested in altered in accordance with your opinions if you can provide a reasoned argument on their respective talk pages, and get other editors on board. Edit warring is NEVER the correct way to get what you want, and will eventually lead to your account being blocked from editing. Fred Gandt · talk · contribs 17:19, 19 June 2019 (UTC)Reply

Notice of edit warring noticeboard discussion edit

Hello. This message is being sent to inform you that there is currently a discussion involving you at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Edit warring regarding a possible violation of Wikipedia's policy on edit warring. Thank you. Xanzzibar (talk) 17:12, 19 June 2019 (UTC)Reply

Stop vandalizing the Macho Man song page. edit

thank you Hotcop2 (talk) 17:44, 19 June 2019 (UTC)Reply

So leave that page alone!

June 2019 edit

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 60 hours for edit warring, as you did at Ohio Express. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions.
During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  78.26 (spin me / revolutions) 17:50, 19 June 2019 (UTC)Reply

Please don't make any reverts!

Continuing edit-warring edit

As you've been asking multiple times now, please stop blanket removing mentions of song use in commercials. If you don't think they're worthy of inclusion, start an appropriate discussion on the song talk page or another venue. And please use edit summaries for your edits.--Xanzzibar (talk) 16:03, 23 June 2019 (UTC)Reply

June 2019 edit

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on You Sexy Thing; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing.
Drop stick; You've already received a very recent edit warring ban... Promethean (talk) 18:35, 23 June 2019 (UTC)Reply

Ads in popular culture sections for songs edit

Me, I hate popular culture sections entirely, and if it were up to me, I'd zap them completely. However, there is not a consensus on Wikipedia to do so, and you are on a crusade without any consensus that you're doing the right thing. I'd suggest you slow down a bit before some hackles get raised. --jpgordon𝄢𝄆 𝄐𝄇 19:33, 23 June 2019 (UTC)Reply

Seriously, you need to discuss this with the community, or you will lose your editing privileges on Wikipedia. Your editing has become disruptive. --jpgordon𝄢𝄆 𝄐𝄇 14:24, 24 June 2019 (UTC)Reply

Yet again, you need to discuss this with the community before instituting mass removals. Talk:I Can See for Miles has one such discussion you can participate in. If you continue to keep unilaterally removing these and edit-warring over it, you're just going to earn yourself a third block after being reverted. --Xanzzibar (talk) 16:27, 24 June 2019 (UTC)Reply

And I see you're continuing with your crusade, regardless. I'm imploring you to stop edit-warring and to join in the discussion at Talk:I Can See for Miles before there needs to be another WP:ANI request. --Xanzzibar (talk) 00:00, 25 June 2019 (UTC)Reply

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for disruptive editing and refusal to communicate.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  --jpgordon𝄢𝄆 𝄐𝄇 01:19, 25 June 2019 (UTC)Reply
