Tony Evans

edit

Well, if you wanted to create a page called "Tony Evans" then you just type it in "Go" and create it.

But, as you said, if there is a page called "Tony Evans", then you might want to create a disambig page, like "Tony Evans (Disambiguation)" and put a link there to "Tony Evans (person)" or "Tony Evans (the second)".

But, if you are not a commonly known person, then, I´d suggest you save that info for your userpage.

And please, sign your comments with the four tildesː ~~~~

Tony Evans (Gibraltarian)

edit

A tag has been placed on Tony Evans (Gibraltarian), requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert notability may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is notable, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page (below the existing db tag) and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Realkyhick 16:07, 19 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Notability of €urogib Virtual

edit

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on €urogib Virtual, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because €urogib Virtual is an article about a certain website, blog, forum, or other web content that does not assert the importance or significance of that web location. Please read our criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 7 under Articles, as well as notability guidelines for websites. Please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources which verify their content.

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting €urogib Virtual, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. --Android Mouse Bot 2 06:15, 18 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

€urogib Virtual

edit

Please don't take offence to this, but Wikipedia is not a place for people to publicise their own personal projects. I had nothing to do with tagging the article for deletion. (I warn people myself when I do that, rather than leaving it for a bot to take care of.) That being said, an administrator reviewed the article and determined that it did not meet the requirements for inclusion at Wikipedia, particularly WP:N. I did tag the photos for deletion because they were orphaned once the article was deleted. Again, nothing personal, I'm just trying to clean things up a bit. Have a nice day, though. --Butseriouslyfolks 17:15, 30 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned non-free image (Image:€urogib (EURO) Logo.jpg)

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:€urogib (EURO) Logo.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. The Evil Spartan 17:53, 30 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:FlyGibraltar.gif

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:FlyGibraltar.gif. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 13:07, 5 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

File source problem with File:Flyhawaii.jpg

edit

Thank you for uploading File:Flyhawaii.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. Please add this information by editing the image description page.

If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please refer to the image use policy to learn what images you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. Please also check any other files you have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
