Ted Cowan
editClive, thank you very much for your edits to the page for Ted Cowan. While I can see why you would want to work on your father's article, I'm sure you understand why there are guidelines for people writing biographies for people they know. I'm not saying that you've broken any rules or anything, just making sure you're aware of them. Many people have a hard time remaining objective while writing about themselves or someone they know.
Additionally, please be aware of the guidelines for verifiability. If you have sources that can be cited, it would add to the article's veracity. While I'm willing to believe that you are who you say you are, not everyone would be so willing to take your word for it. After all, this is the internet and if you make claims about Ted's career and life, then how is anyone else going to be sure those claims are accurate?
I hope you understand where I'm coming from. I don't mean to sound condescending or anything of that ilk, it's just that I've been through discussions with other people who have edited an article about themselves or about someone they know in the past.

- I don't understand why you feel your edits have been removed. Check the article's history. All of your edits are still there. Dismas|(talk) 11:17, 23 February 2007 (UTC)
