July 2011 edit

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Venghai. Users are expected to collaborate with others and avoid editing disruptively.

In particular, the three-revert rule states that:

  1. Making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24-hour period is almost always grounds for an immediate block.
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you continue to edit war, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Commander (Ping Me) 13:26, 12 July 2011 (UTC)Reply

It's inappropriate to use the welcome template to the talk page of users who are more experienced than you. --Commander (Ping Me) 13:28, 12 July 2011 (UTC)Reply
It wasn't intended to be an edit-war. I didn't even realize I had done it more than twice. I then undid the second one. Also, I wasn't aware there was another template other than the 'welcome' one. Nor could I tell he/she was more experienced than I was. If possible, can you let me know how I would tell that? Clearlyjoyful (talk) 21:38, 12 July 2011 (UTC)Reply
Commander, Clearlyjoyful was using the default vandalism1 template, which is a welcome message. It is designed to not bite the newbies, which I noticed Clearlyjoyful is. She's removed the warnings made to the the talk page. Just be sure to check your edits manually if you're ever in question of an anti-vandalism tool. The Red 03:20, 13 July 2011 (UTC)Reply
