Speedy deletion of Cicero Motors edit

A tag has been placed on Cicero Motors, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam as well as the Wikipedia:Business' FAQ for more information.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. Woland (talk) 21:14, 25 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you removed a speedy deletion tag from Cicero Motors, a page you have created yourself. If you do not believe the page should be deleted, you can place a {{hangon}} tag on the page, under the existing speedy deletion tag (please do not remove the speedy deletion tag), and make your case on the page's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you. -- Scjessey (talk) 21:18, 25 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

Please do not remove speedy deletion notices from pages you have created yourself, as you did with Cicero Motors. Please use the {{hangon}} template on the page instead if you disagree with the deletion. Thank you. -- Scjessey (talk) 21:19, 25 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

Your username edit

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia!

I hope not to seem unfriendly or make you feel unwelcome, but I noticed your username, and I am concerned that it might not meet Wikipedia's username policy for the following reason: it is identical to the name of a company, and it seems that it may be being used to promote that company's products. After you look over that policy, could we discuss that concern here?

I'd appreciate learning your own views, for instance your reasons for wanting this particular name, and what alternative username you might accept that avoids raising this concern.

You have several options freely available to you:

Thank you. Grutness...wha? 00:09, 8 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

AfD nomination of Cicero (Automobiles) edit

I have nominated Cicero (Automobiles), an article you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Cicero (Automobiles). Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.  Sandstein  19:17, 9 September 2008 (UTC)Reply
