Future fights

edit

Just wanted to drop you a quick line about your recent edits to MMA-related articles. First off, have you considered joining WikiProject:Mixed Martial Arts? There are several other editors out there like you improving the MMA sections of Wikipedia. While you certainly don't have to "join" WP:MMA to be able to edit, but it might be helpful to check up and see if there are any work projects you could contribute to or any discussions about topics related to the editing of MMA-related articles that you may want to comment on. It looks to me like you've made quite a few good edits; I'm sure your participation would be very helpful.

Second, I noticed that you added a few "future fights" to some of the MMA record tables (Wanderlei Silva and Chuck Liddell are the two I noticed). We've discussed this before on WT:MMA, and we've decided to exclude future events from record tables. Until the fight actually occurs, it's generally best to not add a table entry for it. We don't always catch them when they go up, so there may be a few fighters' pages that include them, but as a general rule they're not encouraged.

UFC 84

edit

A discussion is happening right now on the fate of UFC 84. Because the outcome of this discussion could affect other MMA event pages and how/when they are created, your input would be greatly appreciated. The discussion is happening here. Thank you for your assistance! Gromlakh (talk) 17:40, 30 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open!

edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
