  Hello, I'm Marvellous Spider-Man. Wikipedia is written by people who have a wide diversity of opinions, but we try hard to make sure articles have a neutral point of view. Your recent edit to American Heritage School (Plantation, Florida) seemed less than neutral to me, so I removed it for now. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Marvellous Spider-Man 13:40, 26 November 2016 (UTC)Reply

  Please do not add promotional material to Wikipedia, as you did to American Heritage School (Plantation, Florida). While objective prose about beliefs, organisations, people, products or services is acceptable, Wikipedia is not intended to be a vehicle for soapboxing, advertising or promotion. Phrases like "our school" do not belong in a neutrally-written encyclopedia; they imply that the material is written by the school or, worse, copied from the school's website.C.Fred (talk) 21:16, 9 July 2018 (UTC)Reply

Some of the material was copied directly from another website, and thus was a copyright violation. Please don't add copyright material to Wikipedia. — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 20:04, 10 July 2018 (UTC)Reply

Managing a conflict of interest

edit

  Hello, Charlie856Charlie. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about in the page American Heritage School (Plantation, Florida), you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (see the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your COI when discussing affected articles (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Also please note that editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Your use of phrases like "our school" suggests that you have some connection to the school. You should clarify what your relationship with the school is. If you are employed by the school and editing the article in the scope of your employment, then you must disclose that you are a paid editor.C.Fred (talk) 23:59, 9 July 2018 (UTC)Reply
