Your username

edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that your username, "ChangeCapital", may not meet Wikipedia's username policy because Wikipedia accounts must be for individuals only, who are personally responsible for them, and accounts whose usernames are the names of groups or organizations are not permitted. Your username may be based on your real name, or not, as you prefer (see WP:REALNAME for some considerations), but it should not be the name of another living person. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. As an alternative, you may ask for a change of username, or you may simply create a new account for editing.

Even with an individual username, before editing on any subject connected with your company or your own concerns, you should read the Wikipedia:Plain and simple conflict of interest guide. JohnCD (talk) 10:18, 20 September 2013 (UTC)Reply

If you wish to write an article

edit

...about Luc Vandevelde after you have changed useername, you should not do so directly, because of your conflict of interest. What you should do is:

  • Read the WP:Plain and simple conflict of interest guide again
  • Read WP:Your first article, noting particularly the need for references to verify what the article says
  • Click on Help:userspace draft and fill in the name: that will make a draft page where you can work on the article, with a link to submit it, when it is ready, to WP:Articles for creation where an experienced user will check it, and either accept it or give you feedback.
  • Do not copy from existing sources like websites; that would need a formal copyright release, and personal or company websites are usually written in promotional terms unacceptable in an encyclopedia article. Take care when writing to maintain a neutral point of view; if what you write is PR-speak or seems to try to boost or "sell" Mr Vandevelde, it will not be accepted.

Welcome to Wikipedia. Because we have a policy against usernames that give the impression that the account represents a group, organization or website, I have blocked this account; please take a moment to create a new account with a username that represents only yourself as an individual and which complies with our username policy.  You should also read our conflict of interest guideline and be aware that promotional editing is not acceptable regardless of the username you choose.

If your username does not represent a group, organization or website, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} below this notice.

You may simply create a new account, but you may prefer to change your username to one that complies with our username policy, so that your past contributions are associated with your new username. If you would prefer to change your username, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock-un|new username|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} below this notice. Thank you.
