Possible conflict of interest?

edit

  If you have a close connection to some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article Northfield Information Services, you may have a conflict of interest. In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, edits where there is a conflict of interest, or where such a conflict might reasonably be inferred from the tone of the edit and the proximity of the editor to the subject, are strongly discouraged. If you have a conflict of interest, you should avoid or exercise great caution when:

  1. editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with;
  2. participating in deletion discussions about articles related to your organization or its competitors;
  3. linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam); and,
  4. avoid breaching relevant policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for businesses. For more details about what, exactly, constitutes a conflict of interest, please see our conflict of interest guidelines. Thank you. Somno (talk) 03:18, 22 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned non-free image File:Tekmap.png

edit

Thanks for uploading File:Tekmap.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Skier Dude2 (talk) 04:11, 26 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of TekTrak

edit

You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles. See the Article Wizard.

Thank you.

A tag has been placed on TekTrak, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be unambiguous advertising that only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item G11, as well as the guidelines on spam.

If you can indicate why the subject of this article is not blatant advertising, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add {{hangon}} on the top of TekTrak and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would help make it encyclopedic, as well as adding any citations from independent reliable sources to ensure that the article will be verifiable. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. ASPENSTITALKCONTRIBUTIONS 21:04, 2 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

Hello, Cgangita. You have new messages at WP:FEED#TekTrak.
You can remove this notice at any time by removing the {{Talkback}} or {{Tb}} template.

Hello, I replied to your request for feedback. I hope my comments/suggestions are useful, but if you have any questions please feel free to contact me. Thanks! Chevymontecarlo 06:55, 3 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

Another Hello! I looked at your other entry on Requests for Feedback, not the one Chevy replied to. I'm glad he cast holy water on it and there are no tags on it at present, but there were a couple of mnor problems I saw, which you may want to address. So look at your *first* posting, where my comments are appended. Thanks for the article. Tkotc (talk) 07:38, 3 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for your kind note. I wish you luck with the article. I'm fairly discouraged about writing any more articles myself (I've done somewhere around 30), because there seems to be a whole crew around here who do nothing but delete articles. That's why the focus on showing "notability" in articles is so important. Bear down on this issue, pre-emptively deal with it, and you may be lucky. Also, anything you can add in the nature of discussion bringing up other, similar products helps, because then you clearly have a "balanced" viewpoint. Anyhow, good luck. License tagging for File:Tektrak-2.jpeg

edit

Thanks for uploading File:Tektrak-2.jpeg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.

To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 01:06, 15 July 2011 (UTC)Reply
