Please do not add commercial links or links to your own private websites to Wikipedia, as you did in Jorge Chávez International Airport. Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or a mere collection of external links. You are, however, encouraged to add content instead of links. See the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia. Thanks. Mushroom (Talk) 13:17, 25 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

Please stop adding commercial links to Wikipedia, as you did in Jorge Chávez International Airport. It is considered spamming, and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising. Thanks. Elektrik Blue 82 19:43, 25 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

Hello, even if your site is not commercial and you have good intentions, keeping the link in the article contradicts Wikipedia's policy on external links since the site:

  • Is self-published, so it can't be considered a reliable source according to Wikipedia standards.
  • Is owned and maintained by you, and it is forbidden to add a link to a site that you own or maintain.

The only thing you can do to keep the link is to write a message on the article's talk page explaining why you think it should be in the article. Maybe, if the other editors find it useful and informative, they will decide to add it back (but don't count on it, since it would still be against policy). Thanks.
