Speedy deletion nomination of Sound of Contact

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Sound of Contact requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article or image appears to be a clear copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website or image but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. reddogsix (talk) 15:44, 27 April 2013 (UTC)Reply

Sound of Contact

edit

Hi Reddogsix, this is Vuzor. I have been editing the Dimensionaut page and revising the Simon Collins page over the past few weeks. I've noticed, based on Carter336's image uploads and his edits to the Dave Kerzner web page, that Carter336 may in fact be Mr. Kerzner. In that case, he would be a member of Sound of Contact, and his contributions to the page would be appreciated once it has been established. I have been planning to build that page for the past few days but have not gotten to doing so just yet. I will be editing that page shortly, and I hope with the help of Carter336 it can become a very accurate Wikipedia page. Thank you for understanding. Vuzor (talk) 07:10, 28 April 2013 (UTC)Reply

Also, Dave, may I ask that you take a photo of Simon and upload that to his Wikipedia page? Thank you. I have had difficulty finding a free image of Mr. Collins to use for his Wikipedia page and would appreciate your help greatly. Vuzor (talk) 07:10, 28 April 2013 (UTC)Reply

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Sound of Contact. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Please be particularly aware, Wikipedia's policy on edit warring states:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made; that is to say, editors are not automatically "entitled" to three reverts.
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Winkelvi (talk) 21:07, 28 April 2013 (UTC)Reply
