Petty revert

This makes it look like you were waiting months to revert me and looks incredibly petty even if you didn't intend it to. You literally could've copied that key table from a previous list and added the new citation instead of reverting me, restoring the mid-year citation. Don't hold on to grudges around here, Carlo, you won't benefit from them. Also, I find it incredibly strange that somebody who was open enough to tell me in the section directly above that they have anxiety issues, why that person would then deliberately put themselves into an antagonistic situation with another editor. Why would you not try to avoid conflict as much as possible? Nobody is going to respond positively to an editor reverting a months-old edit of theirs when you could have restored it without doing so. Ss112 17:33, 7 January 2022 (UTC)

(edit conflict)It was easier for me to revert then add the ref separately because opening/editing WP pages with large amts of text makes my mobile Chrome browser freeze up and crash. I've mentioned this multiple times before in past edit summaries on pages we both monitor, and you know I do things in multiple parts sometimes for this exact reason rather than in one edit. Same with the updates to the prose that I was in the middle of doing one at a time. Please don't be so quick to assume/infer that someone is (possibly) being petty or waiting to get back at you for something. That wasn't the case at all. And I didn't create an antagonistic situation. You assumed a negative intent behind my revert otherwise you wouldn't have left the msg that you did. -- Carlobunnie (talk) 18:16, 7 January 2022 (UTC)
Yes, I'm finding it very hard not to assume negative intent considering you had to scroll through several months worth of edits to find that one to specifically revert. I completely forgot about that; it appears you remembered it the whole time. It literally would've been easier to copy the key table from the 2020 list then navigate to the 2021 list and add it, which does not require one to load the two articles at once, merely one after the other. If you expect me to believe the former effort was lesser and easier to you than the latter, that is just simply untrue. Ss112 18:23, 7 January 2022 (UTC)
You're misunderstanding me. I'd have had to tap edit on the 2020 article to access the key text to copy it. That's what makes my Chrome freeze, because when the page loads after I hit edit, there's a lot of text there. And I did try that at first, but Chrome froze 3 times and I couldn't copy anything because my keyboard stops responding when the app freezes. Alternatively, Firefox sometimes fuctions better than it and allows me to copy text from large pages, but it also froze so I wasn't able to do it there either. The only thing I could do, w less taps and no freezing involved, was wait a bit for FF to respond (Chrome was still freezing and crashing at this point), undo your edit which restored the key from the page history (undoing doesn't cause any freeze issue), and then add the 2021 ref. You might not believe it, but that's how things are for me w this device. Sometimes I can edit easily and other times I have to jump through hoops. I didn't remember about your edit until after the browser freezes, when I was trying to figure out how else I could get the key text. And your edit is only on the 2nd page of the edit history for me. I just tapped 'older 100' and saw it. Idk what else to say for you to believe me. -- Carlobunnie (talk) 19:30, 7 January 2022 (UTC)

JK's Achievements

Hi there! Can we have a list of Jungkook's achievements on a separate page under his Awards? The record of his "firsts" and "mosts" in music, social media, and the like. It's sad to see those go to waste as people forget them as time goes by. I saw a similar format in Madonna's page, as guide perhaps. Thank you! 130.105.192.145 (talk) 07:22, 23 February 2022 (UTC)

Hi! The achievements in question can be added so long as they are covered by reliable secondary sources (see WP:KO/RS and WP:RSPSOURCES) and do not constitute WP:FANCRUFT (not every achievement is encyclopedic content). Which in particular are you thinking of? -- Carlobunnie (talk) 08:09, 23 February 2022 (UTC)
Thank you for your response! Appreciate this. I think there are some reliable sources about it. For example, his recent Billboard, iTunes, and Spotify records for Stay Alive. His records in WDSS for My Time and Euphoria. Things like these. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 130.105.192.145 (talk) 09:56, 23 February 2022 (UTC)
My Time and Euphoria's WDSS records are already in his Career section, they just need updating, since the last we did was as of Oct 2021. "Stay Alive" has yet to be added there. iTunes/Spotify records generally can't be mentioned per WP:BADCHARTS, but I'll review his stats and see what is safe to include. I don't keep track of everything, so feel free to ask on his article's talk page if you think anything else is missing. Other editors can also assist! -- Carlobunnie (talk) 16:33, 23 February 2022 (UTC)

Right, I remember now that his WDSS records for MT and E are already in. On Spotify and iTunes, thanks for letting me know. I am so new in Wikipedia contributions/edits so I lack in many things about it. Anyway, thank you so much for your work, esp with Stay Alive's new addition on JK's Career section. Hope to see more soon from other editors as well. Thank you, Carlobunnie! Stay safe! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 130.105.192.145 (talk) 22:41, 23 February 2022 (UTC)

Happy to help. Also, WP:HI is good for learning the ins and outs of wikipedia/editing. -- Carlobunnie (talk) 22:57, 23 February 2022 (UTC)

Thanks again! By the way, is it possible to have the list I asked or are we going to see the records in narrative form under his Career section? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 130.105.192.145 (talk) 04:30, 24 February 2022 (UTC)

I'm actually working on an article for the song, so whatever is acceptable will be mentioned there. There won't be an actual list, but it will appear in the Commercial perf section prose. His page will only mention minimal info as records that pertain to the song should mainly be on its article. -- Carlobunnie (talk) 21:26, 27 February 2022 (UTC)

Yay! Will be waiting for SA's page/article. Thank you so much! One more thing, if I may, do you have sources citing US sales of his Euphoria with 500k and My Time with some 200k? Some articles say so, as in allkpop (though not acceptable, I suppose). Hope it gets updated, too. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 130.105.192.145 (talk) 06:07, 3 March 2022 (UTC)

Generally speaking, news articles don't usually get written about song sales updates in the US, unless it's related to a new song's debut, older songs reentering a chart, or a track achieving a certification. Then BB will mention sales as of a certain date, like they did here. Star News (kor) usually covers all sorts of updates inclu for solo tracks, but they also report on unreliable sources like akp, twt etc. so we can't always use their articles even if ones exist. Idk if there are any for what you mentioned, as I haven't really checked, but if you find one you can always make an edit request on his talk page. -- Carlobunnie (talk) 06:31, 3 March 2022 (UTC)

I see, that's how it goes. Will try to make an edit request on his Talk page soon. Thank you so much for your responses and hardwork. My apologies for my queries and all. Stay safe! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 130.105.192.145 (talk) 07:12, 3 March 2022 (UTC)

No need for apologies and you're welcome. Happy I could help! -- Carlobunnie (talk) 07:53, 3 March 2022 (UTC)
Thank you heaps! By the way, is Cosmic Awards accepted as legit award? 130.105.208.241 (talk) 00:10, 9 March 2022 (UTC)
Can't say. I've never heard of it before. -- Carlobunnie (talk) 00:14, 9 March 2022 (UTC)
I see. I just saw a tweet earlier stating that JK has won for two consecutive years in Cosmic Awards. 130.105.208.241 (talk) 01:11, 9 March 2022 (UTC)
I checked it out and it's not notable by any means. Can't even find the body/organization/individual behind it. Looks mainly like some online fan vote poll thing that just gained traction. -- Carlobunnie (talk) 02:34, 9 March 2022 (UTC)
All right, looked for it as well and didn't find significant details. Anyway, do you have (or know of someone who has) information on JK's Artistry? Saw some of his bandmates with this. 130.105.208.241 (talk) 03:44, 9 March 2022 (UTC)
Unfortunately I don't. Ik fanbases sometimes share articles kmedia write on the topic on twitter, so maybe you can try searching there, or Google. You could also ask editors who've contributed to the pages of the members w that info on theirs. -- Carlobunnie (talk) 05:17, 9 March 2022 (UTC)
I will go and ask other editor/s as well. Sorry for too much questions/requests. I appreciate your time and hardwork. Thank you! 130.105.208.241 (talk) 06:09, 9 March 2022 (UTC)
I asked other editors about my last concern. One said I should ask you or another editor (no reply yet) since you two are well verse with BTS. 130.105.208.241 (talk) 09:33, 15 March 2022 (UTC)
I'll see if I can find anything on Naver. It'll take me a while to comb through all his articles though, but if you come across anything, you can link me and I'll review and see if we can use them. -- Carlobunnie (talk) 03:00, 20 March 2022 (UTC)
Thank you very much, Carlobunnie! Hope to find articles about it soonest. 130.105.213.176 (talk) 04:02, 20 March 2022 (UTC)
Someone sent me this: https://thetvwatchtower.org/2021/05/25/jeon-jungkook-meet-the-superstar-who-helped-propel-bts-to-worldwide-music-domination/ Do you think this can be of help? 130.105.213.176 (talk) 05:03, 20 March 2022 (UTC)
What do you think about this (above)? 182.18.242.153 (talk) 22:57, 29 March 2022 (UTC)
And these too:
https://channel-korea.com/jungkook-vocal-range/
https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/bts-member-highest-voice.html/ 182.18.242.153 (talk) 23:08, 29 March 2022 (UTC)

I took a look at those articles you linked and none of them can be used. The Tvwatchtower article sources much of its information from places like Koreaboo and Twitter, the ChannelKorea articles cites no names or sources for its info so we have no way to know who the vocal coach is, though it reads like it's referring to those 'vocal coach reacts' youtube videos, which are also not reliable sources. The CheatSheet article directly cites the ChannelKorea article so that can't be used either. I apologize for not replying sooner. -- Carlobunnie (talk) 01:56, 30 March 2022 (UTC)

I see. Thank you for your guidance, am learning from you! Hope we can find acceptable articles soon. 182.18.242.153 (talk) 02:52, 30 March 2022 (UTC)
Hi, Carlobunnie! I found this article today, do you think it can be used for JK's Artistry section? Here's the link: https://magazine.weverse.io/article/view?lang=en&num=490
Thank you! Sevenbluelions (talk) 04:38, 1 August 2022 (UTC)
While the article's author is a music critic/third party, Weverse magazine is ideally a primary source, as Hybe created/owns the platform. I don't think anything it publishes can be used to support commentary about its artists, their artistry etc. If established secondary sources cite its content, that's a different story. You can ask for additional opinions on the WT:KO talk page though. -- Carlobunnie (talk) 07:09, 1 August 2022 (UTC)

Hi! Is it acceptable to use the following as sources: consequence.net, jungkookglobal.com (newly launched website), and chart data (on Twitter)? Thank you! Sevenbluelions (talk) 09:51, 13 September 2022 (UTC)

Consequence is acceptable/reliable yes, but like any other music source it depends on the content of the article you want to cite and whether any unreliable sources are mentioned in it. Chartdata is not and should never be used. The only time a twitter acc is selectively okay to use/cite is for e.g. the official billboardcharts account to cite charting info, or award shows like the BBMAs or VMAs for an announcement. Jungkookglobal sounds like a fansite so that isn't acceptable either. In my first reply above, dd Feb 28, you'll see I linked 2 of the best pages on wikipedia that cover acceptable/unacceptable sources and how to identify them. I really recommend checking them out if you haven't already. -- Carlobunnie (talk) 17:31, 13 September 2022 (UTC)

Cite error on BTS singles discography

I know what needs to be fixed, but what do I need to be beside the AQ for 'Your Eyes Tell'? Btspurplegalaxy 🗩 🖉 20:42, 27 February 2022 (UTC)

Give it its own cert reference, but I see a bot already fixed it. The YET error didn't even show up in the preview on my phone. I only saw the reference list error notice, otherwise I'd have fixed that too. -- Carlobunnie (talk) 20:53, 27 February 2022 (UTC)
I asked Paper9oll to see if he could fix it. Just wait a little while until he comes back on. Btspurplegalaxy 🗩 🖉 21:29, 27 February 2022 (UTC)
I just went back in and corrected the remaining entries that were attached to the error. They all now have standalone cites for their certs, instead of a shared one (used when multiple songs are certified in the same month), so the next time any of them receive further certs, we just need to update the cert yr/mth in the individual ref. I had to switch to a diff browser and use desktop mode, that's why it took me so long, so sorry about that. -- Carlobunnie (talk) 01:55, 28 February 2022 (UTC)
No worries! Btspurplegalaxy 🗩 🖉 03:29, 28 February 2022 (UTC)

Network columns

I know it was discussed regarding removing the network columns, but I was wondering if that would include variety shows, competition shows, and hosting for Korean singers articles? Btspurplegalaxy 🗩 🖉 04:08, 26 March 2022 (UTC)

I think it would. Similar filmography articles/tables for non-Korean singers/actors etc. don't include networks for their tv or film appearances, so there's no reason why these should be any different. -- Carlobunnie (talk) 05:31, 26 March 2022 (UTC)

Finding charted song

Do you have any idea on where I can find out where Sweet Night charted at on other country charts? I'm trying to add information for the Sweet Night draft, but I’m not really familiar on how to find the content for that. This is my first time trying to make an article for a song, any help would be appreciated. Btspurplegalaxy 🗩 🖉 23:40, 30 March 2022 (UTC)

Two ways you can do it: 1) check the most common charts found on existing BTS song articles (apart from what's already cited on Tae's discog), and 2) check Twitter (either directly search there, or google "sweet night bts v charts" or something like that). His fanbases track that stuff meticulously.
The relevant chart issues will likely be those dated the week of release, the week after, or up to two weeks after. I only track charts for SK, JPN and some of the US ones, and occasionally the UK/Canada/some Asian countries (Malaysia, Singapore, Vietnam, India). Chiyako might be able to help with this too! -- Carlobunnie (talk) 00:26, 31 March 2022 (UTC)
Thank you for the information :) Btspurplegalaxy 🗩 🖉 00:33, 31 March 2022 (UTC)

PTD Page

Hi, I appreciate you telling me why you reverted the Permission to Dance On Stage page. Just wondering why I’m not allowed to use ‘primary sources’ (the other photos of them on stage are my own, taken by me. I attended these shows.) You removed quite a bit. Monbmon (talk) 01:39, 20 April 2022 (UTC)

The primary sources comment was in reference to edits made by the ip user prior to you, who added weverse refs, when that info can be sourced from reliable secondary sources instead. Your photo was removed in the mass revert (which undid both your edits and theirs), not because anything was wrong with it. However, like I mentioned, a separate section should be created for Las Vegas first (as was done for Seoul and LA) and then the photo(s) can be inserted alongside the pertinent details for that set of shows. -- Carlobunnie (talk) 01:48, 20 April 2022 (UTC)

Ok thank you! Can I also reinsert the PTD On Stage commons photo I own/have for the tour (logo)? Also wondering why PTD isn’t included under “Tour” section for BTS when I know most reliable sources refer to PTD as a tour. May I simply reinsert the other user’s edit using Weverse with a reliable secondary source (I thought it was fine) in ‘Background’? Thank you and sorry for all the questions! Monbmon (talk) 01:58, 20 April 2022 (UTC)

Most sources refer to PTDOS as a series of concerts, hence the reason it's worded that way in the article. Some, on occasion, used the term "tour", but Hybe never announced/advertised it as such. The logo image can be restored, just make sure an appropriate caption accompanies it. The information the user inserted in the Bg section is better suited under a separate heading for Las Vegas as I mentioned before, since it pertains to the LV shows specifically. Secondary sources like billboard, rolling stone etc. have covered that information so you can Google articles that mention that stuff and use those instead. WP:RSPSOURCES provides a detailed list of acceptable/unacceptable sources. If you add anything that shouldn't be there, or use an unreliable source, someone will likely undo it. You can be guided by how the other sections were done as you make your edits. -- Carlobunnie (talk) 03:12, 20 April 2022 (UTC)

Makes so much more sense to me, again thank you! I’m new to Wiki editing and would definitely like to improve. :) Monbmon (talk) 22:33, 20 April 2022 (UTC)

JK's GWR

Hi! Have you seen [an] article[s] about Jungkook's Guinness World Record—most retweeted tweet of 2019 (his "Duh 😛" tweet)? It can be added to his awards table in case you have a source. Thank you! 182.18.242.153 (talk) 06:47, 20 April 2022 (UTC)

Jungkook doesn't officially have any world records to his name. A quick search on the GWR website will show you that. The fastest-liked (to 1mil) IG post record is still listed by GWR as belonging to Juliette Freire. Most-rtd tweet of 2019 is already mentioned in his Impact and Influence section, and there is no related GWR to accompany it. Only the most-rtd tweet of all time, which he does not hold. -- Carlobunnie (talk) 15:14, 20 April 2022 (UTC)

Proof album cover is PD

Proof album cover is a simple geometric stylized "PROOF" so it is in the public domain. Why did you revert?2001:448A:7082:2526:5028:4F91:D838:4065 (talk) 04:43, 8 May 2022 (UTC)

That image at the forefront is BTS' official trademarked logo, which is protected by copyright. -- Carlobunnie (talk) 04:54, 8 May 2022 (UTC)
But this BTS logo is in the public domain. 2001:448A:7082:2526:5028:4F91:D838:4065 (talk) 05:05, 8 May 2022 (UTC)
Afaik, cover art is not usually public domain, that's why I uploaded it as such. While I have a ltd understanding of CP/PD-related things, I'd faster take the word of an experienced WP editor over an IP user with no edit history behind them. Idk if you're the orig IP user that I reverted (your IP address is diff after all), but I'd rather err on the side of caution with cover art, even if I'm wrong. -- Carlobunnie (talk) 05:26, 8 May 2022 (UTC)
The album cover is 12 trapezoids forming "PROOF". Trapezoids are simple geometric shapes. 2001:448A:7082:2526:5028:4F91:D838:4065 (talk) 05:37, 8 May 2022 (UTC)

V of BTS profile changed by anti

My concern is why Wikipedia allows just anyone to edit, add and eliminate information as they feel inclined, is it a reliable organization or not ? many of the already confirmed facts about Kim Taehyung known singer and actor his award as an actor has been removed, I find this as a matter of concern since is been changed by someone who seem to not appreciate or be fan at all, I respectfully request the previous profile to be updated by someone who is legally and/or morally responsible who is part of the staff organization that has knowledge and is not biased against him or that os biased only to certain people in the related profile of K-pop band known as BTS. 2600:1700:A9A8:8850:559C:7522:D99A:B683 (talk) 04:27, 9 June 2022 (UTC)

Uh, idk what "staff" you're referring to, but if you have specific complaints about his page then the best way to get them addressed is to leave a message on his talk page. Fwiw, WP is an open encyclopedia, so anyone can edit it (that's why you're able to leave me the msg you did). In fact it's encouraged that people come help out to maintain it. Things like defamation, vandalism etc. ofc are not tolerated and are removed once noticed. Anything else however, is up for discussion. There are rules/policies to follow when adding to or removing certain types of info from a page on WP. -- Carlobunnie (talk) 05:02, 9 June 2022 (UTC)
Oh and fyi, appearing in one television series does not make an individual an actor by profession. He's known as a singer because that is his job/what he's known for. And idk which award specifically you're saying is missing, because his Soompi award for idol actor is there. -- Carlobunnie (talk) 05:06, 9 June 2022 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free image File:Left and Right by Charlie Puth feat. Jungkook cover art.jpg

Thanks for uploading File:Left and Right by Charlie Puth feat. Jungkook cover art.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. D🐶ggy54321 (let's chat!) 00:50, 25 June 2022 (UTC)

@Doggy54321: is there any way to have it deleted before the 7-day period is up? Since you already replaced it w the png, I don't see why it should wait so long for deletion. -- Carlobunnie (talk) 02:21, 25 June 2022 (UTC)
I'm not sure. The file not being used in any article already qualifies it for speedy deletion under criterion F5, and it's already set to be automatically deleted in a week's time. Maybe using {{db-f5}} instead of {{orfud}} would speed things along? I'm pretty sure this specific case would also be eligible for deletion under criterion F1 as it's redundant to keep even just for the next week. I see no issue with it staying on track to be deleted next week, but I also support fast-tracking its deletion if that's what you want. I'll leave the final decision up to you. Thanks! D🐶ggy54321 (let's chat!) 02:34, 25 June 2022 (UTC)
Used the f5 tag, hopefully that'll do it. Thanks. -- Carlobunnie (talk) 03:36, 25 June 2022 (UTC)
I happen to see the current Left and Right cover is a png image, I think that needs to be deleted and place with the jpg image as png images have really bad quality. Btspurplegalaxy 🗩 🖉 03:24, 26 June 2022 (UTC)

BTS fandom

Can you please make an article that talks about the BTS army? I feel that many underestimate this fandom. I'm also a huge fan, for three years now and there's nothing i enjoy more than BTS content and being a member of this purple galaxy. Im proud.

I think people need to know about our achievements and struggles as army's....and as kpop stans.

Done! Here is the style guide for discographies, complete with a table example. A retrospective thanks

As you might remember, I was skeptical about the need for archiving every Gaon link at first, but as nobody (besides those at Gaon, obviously) saw the rebrand to Circle coming, I now see that situations like this (a rebrand, URLs going down) is why you went to the effort of archiving the links you/others added in the first place, so a retrospective thanks for doing that. (In case you saw it, I don't think EN-Jungwon replacing this year's past chart weeks that were Gaon at the time and already had archived Gaon links was necessary, especially considering the archive links still work fine. I think replacing them with Circle is actually somewhat of a detriment, as instead of automatically loading the data, I find Circle's pages have a second delay before they show up, like it's generating the chart after you click on it, whereas Gaon's were there from the time the page loaded.) Ss112 07:55, 8 July 2022 (UTC)

The Circle website makes Chrome mobile lag terribly for me and then freeze to the point of a force close. Slows the response time on Firefox as well. Don't know why the site is like that, but atleast ik it's not my phone that's the issue since you've experienced the delay too. I actually only have one Gaon page on my watchlist (the GSC) so I wasn't aware of what was going on, but I see you sorted that out quickly anyways, and I agree that it's unnecessary to replace existing links (that would be a massive nightmare, esp if someone decided it needed to be done sitewide). -- Carlobunnie (talk) 18:50, 8 July 2022 (UTC)

Help me: deleted images

About a week ago, ImageRemovalBot removed three album cover artworks from the Music of Dune (2021 film) page that had apparently been deleted. I had no idea the images had been nom for deletion (if they even were) because I got no notices from WP about any of them. How do I find out what the problem was? I recall them having proper rationales so I can't think of any other issue with them. -- Carlobunnie (talk) 00:35, 18 September 2022 (UTC)

The images were deleted by Explicit because they violated the rules for non-free content. I can't see the rationales that you had filled out, but the non-free content rules are very strict. It could just be that you were using the images in an article that was not explicitly about the albums whose covers you had uploaded. — jmcgnh(talk) (contribs) 01:06, 18 September 2022 (UTC)
The article is about the albums though? It discusses each of the 3 soundtracks released for the film. Guess I'll leave a message on their talk page and see if I can get a more detailed explanation. Thanks for answering! -- Carlobunnie (talk) 01:27, 18 September 2022 (UTC)

Breaktudo awards

Hi, I saw you removed the Breaktudo Awards from select articles. And I was wondering why I still see it on pages by Justin Bieber, Britney Spears and so on and so on. I have already started removing some that I’ve seen. But since you are the one that’s making a clear effort to remove them from all articles, I just want to suggest a few more for you :) Kanyfug (talk) 11:52, 24 September 2022 (UTC)

Yes I know they're still on several pages including those. I have a search list that I use to do the removal, but it takes time to get to all the places where they're still included, so I do removals in batches instead of all at once because that is easiest for me. You are more than welcome to help out! Anyone can. -- Carlobunnie (talk) 16:49, 24 September 2022 (UTC)

Fantastic Baby date

Hi there! I know the answer to your question on Fantastic Baby - the date RIAJ listed (2015-07-01) is the first date when the song was available to stream on Spotify in Japan (or on another streaming service if they'd gotten there earlier). --Prosperosity (talk) 20:49, 25 October 2022 (UTC)

It occurred to me afterwards that it was probably to do w platform availability so thanks for confirming. -- Carlobunnie (talk)

JK's People's Choice Award Nominations

Hi! Can we add JK's 2 PCA nominations for Left & Right with Charlie Puth to his Awards section? I am not sure how to modify the table for 2 items. Thank you! Sevenbluelions (talk) 03:24, 27 October 2022 (UTC)

Just did it. -- Carlobunnie (talk) 03:59, 27 October 2022 (UTC)

JK Update

Hi there! Is it possible to update Jungkook's Discography section to reflect the US sales of Left & Right and its RIAA Gold certification? Also, his participation in FIFA WC soundtrack and opening ceremony. Thank you! :) 152.32.99.92 (talk) 10:20, 16 November 2022 (UTC)

Added the certs, but gotta get to bed now. Will do the rest when I'm back online, if no one else has by then. -- Carlobunnie (talk) 11:03, 16 November 2022 (UTC)
Thank you so much, Carlobunnie! 152.32.99.92 (talk) 23:15, 17 November 2022 (UTC)
Hi again! Can you update Euphoria's certification, too? It's RIAJ Gold certified based on BTS's discography. I don't know how to copy references with retrieval or archived dates. :( (If you happen to know updates on sales as certifications of his other songs, too.) As always, thank you! 152.32.99.92 (talk) 04:32, 10 December 2022 (UTC)
Euphoria hasn't been certified by the RIAA, however, it is eligible for gold certification based on its sales figures. We only update certs when the RIAA publishes them on its website. And there are no certifications to add for any of his other songs as far as I'm aware. -- Carlobunnie (talk) 08:16, 10 December 2022 (UTC)
RIAJ, I meant. :) 152.32.99.92 (talk) 08:35, 10 December 2022 (UTC)
Wow I am blind af. I swear it said RIAA again since you asked abt RIAA certs for L&R before. My brain didn't register the J, sorry about that. -- Carlobunnie (talk) 08:55, 10 December 2022 (UTC)
No worries! I appreciate your hard work. Thank you so much for always attending to my concerns or requests. You're my go-to person here. :) 152.32.99.92 (talk) 09:23, 10 December 2022 (UTC)
Hi again! Have you heard of Channel R Radio Awards? Is it counted as a legit award? 152.32.99.199 (talk) 05:21, 18 December 2022 (UTC)
I saw the awards mentioned on Twitter, but I haven't looked into it, so I can't say whether it's notable or not. -- Carlobunnie (talk) 18:52, 18 December 2022 (UTC)
All right, was about to add them yesterday but thought of asking you about it first. What's your Twitter username? :) 130.105.185.170 (talk) 21:55, 18 December 2022 (UTC)
Hello! It's me again, after a long time :)
Can we use this as source to update JK's Euphoria & Left and Right sales?

Thank you! Sevenbluelions (talk) 00:42, 21 April 2023 (UTC)
Hello and unfortunately no. That article cites a tweet by @chartdata as the source of its information. I checked the RIAA website, but no updates there either. -- Carlobunnie (talk) 01:34, 21 April 2023 (UTC)
Thanks for letting me know! Missed your reply, sorry!
Is SEC Awards (from Brazil, I think) notable? I saw posts that JK has 2 noms there. Sevenbluelions (talk) 07:49, 2 May 2023 (UTC)
@Sevenbluelions I don't think it is. Google search showed some Twitter results and the website/IG acc for the award show itself. No coverage from secondary sources (news or ent. media). Everything else is sports and university related. -- Carlobunnie (talk) 21:47, 3 May 2023 (UTC)

More than two rows in a wikitable header

If you know of any other discographies that group columns under a country heading like "KOR", I advise you to change them in line with WP:ACCESS. Having charts separated from the country messes with how screen readers would read the column header out, and that is in no way desirable to visually impaired readers that use them. Also, as I said, please get in the habit of updating column headers that still say "Gaon" to "Circle". I edit conflicted with you, and in my initial version, it was fixed. Also, if "Still Life" is a single, Indigo's article should say so with a source as well. Thank you. Ss112 03:29, 8 December 2022 (UTC)

Was using a desktop browser for those edits so I had no idea you came in after me, and was about to make another edit to correct the Gaon/Circle heading (I only remembered afterwards) then update the Indigo page with the second single info when I saw the alert from your edit summary. I copied the existing formatting on the page and wasn't aware it was an accessibility issue so thanks for lmk. If I see any, I'll fix it, though you're likely to come across it faster than me as I don't interact with many discogs/discog tables beyond the ones you already know about. And sorry about the flubs with the edit conflicts as well. -- Carlobunnie (talk) 04:12, 8 December 2022 (UTC)

Winners ref

Hey, in regards to few articles, what's the benefit of keeping an old reference when a new one is available that verifies the subject didn't win? Thanks, Indagate (talk) 17:36, 18 December 2022 (UTC)

As I said in my edit summaries to you, the point is that the only verification needed is proof of the nomination. If an award is won, then you need a source supporting the win. There are numerous articles you'll find where for e.g. artists/actors were nominated for Grammys or Oscars or a plethora of other awards, but didn't win, and the attached reference is one for the nomination only. I assure you it's fine. I can't recall if it was in the edit history of this very article the BTS article, or another one, but an admin told me the same thing I'm telling you now. -- Carlobunnie (talk) 18:00, 18 December 2022 (UTC)
It is beneficial to include a ref that includes winners as by including nom we're saying it didn't win, so good for the ref to say it didn't win. I don't see a reason to keep the old reference with just nominations? You just keep saying it's not needed, well many things on Wikipedia are not needed but included anyway, ref with winners adds extra verification. I didn't add an extra ref, replaced the one that was already there with less information in two cases where you've reverted, and merged two refs into one for other article, so easier for the reader. Other articles doing something which isn't ideal isn't a reason to keep doing it, there are many articles where two refs are included also, one for nom and one for win, if that's a reason. Curious how the admin phrased that. Indagate (talk) 18:15, 18 December 2022 (UTC)
You said "ref with winners adds extra verification", but why is extra verification necessary? We only need to prove an award was won, nominated or is pending, and the existing sources already proved the nomination. While there's no hard and fast rule that says every single article must be done the same way, there are some things that are universally acceptable and this is one of them. If I could recall exactly where, I would direct you to the conversation/relevant edit history, but it was a while ago so I do not unfortunately. The admin was not the only editor who mentioned that to me, other music and film editors have also said the same thing. I can pick out a handful of articles right now where the same sourcing practice is employed. Since you seem to believe it is wrong, would you like to raise your concern on those pages as well? If consensus has changed to saying that a ref clearly indicating the loss is what should be used instead, then I'll revamp the articles I reverted you on myself and replace all the offending references, because it won't be just this PCAs one. -- Carlobunnie (talk) 18:47, 18 December 2022 (UTC)
extra verification is not "necessary" as I said, but is beneficial to the reader as provides verification of extension of the statement. On Wikipedia, we don't just do what is essential. I can also pick out a handful of articles that have full sourcing of wins for noms, but that's not useful. Regardless of what is necessary etc, why is a ref that only includes noms, better than one that includes noms and wins? Indagate (talk) 18:57, 18 December 2022 (UTC)
The general practice established with this specific article (since its FLR) was to use separate sources for awards won and awards lost. Iirc, there were/are only a few exceptions in the table that go contrary to this. You might be able to locate the specific discussion for this decision in the talk page archives (while the page was being reworked) or the FLR archive. That was four years ago I think. -- Carlobunnie (talk) 19:22, 18 December 2022 (UTC)
Which article are you referring to? Again, please provide a reason why a ref with only noms is better than one which also includes wins? "General practice" shouldn't overrule something that increases verifiability. Indagate (talk) 19:26, 18 December 2022 (UTC)
The only featured article out of the 3 I reverted you on is the BTS awards article. The Yonhap reference cited next to the nominations marked as "won", proved those wins. The lone nomination below the 2 wins, marked as "nominated", is understood to be lost. However, in general, all the attached reference(s) for any entry marked as "nominated" in any award table ever needs to prove is that the particular artist/song/album/work was in fact nominated as the template shows. I also used to think like you, that I needed to replace references for lost nominations with ones showing that they were not won, but I was told what I told you: that we only need to prove the "nominated" status. After award shows have taken place, editors may use updated references that name both the winner and the losing nominees in a category, or they might leave the initial reference showing the nomination received only and just update the "won" entries. However, "nominated" status is still supported by the latter, so it isn't necessary to replace it with the former because the latter does the job. Hope I explained what I mean clearly enough. -- Carlobunnie (talk) 20:01, 18 December 2022 (UTC)
I just don't see how a ref that only has nominations is better than one which also has winners, if it is a choice then why choose to not update? Nomination is understood to be lost, but readers should be able to verify that and not just trust us. Indagate (talk) 13:00, 19 December 2022 (UTC)
