SwisterTwister talk 04:23, 27 February 2017 (UTC)- User:Carcharias1 - Does the LUCA in the article really refer to the hypothetical very ancient Last Universal Common Ancestor of all life, including eukaryotes, bacteria, and archaea, or to the slightly less ancient but still very ancient hypothetical Last Universal Common Ancestor of eukaryotes (thought to have been the result of a strange symbiosis between free-living mitochondria and free-living something else)? If, as I inferred, it is the latter, maybe a clarification somewhere is in order. Robert McClenon (talk) 21:10, 27 February 2017 (UTC)

editHi Carcharias1! I noticed that you have reverted to restore your preferred version of an article several times. The impulse to undo an edit you disagree with is understandable, but I wanted to make sure you're aware that the edit warring policy disallows repeated reversions even if they are justifiable.
All editors are expected to discuss content disputes on article talk pages to try to reach consensus. If you are unable to agree, please use one of the dispute resolution options to seek input from others. Using this approach instead of reverting can help you avoid getting drawn into an edit war. Thank you. Nikkimaria (talk) 15:36, 30 July 2023 (UTC)
- Hi Nikkimaria - thank you for pointing this out. No problem. I am happy to discuss anz modifications to the edits I made and if you think it is an unbalanced description, I am sure we can find a mutually agreeable solution. However, I consider it unwarranted to revert all changes I made without explanantion as to what parts are unsuitable or "biased". Happy to discuss - I am sure we can improve this article together. Have a nice day! :) Carcharias1 (talk) 05:49, 2 August 2023 (UTC)
- Unfortunately my objections are to pretty much all of it. The article in question is a featured article, which means that it is required to meet some specific standards regarding things like sourcing and phrasing. I suggest centralizing this discussion at Talk:Brown_Dog_affair to allow others to weigh in and see if we can arrive at a consensus, but until that happens this should stay out.
