Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Deming, New Mexico has been reverted. Your edit here was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove unwanted links and spam from Wikipedia. The external link you added or changed is on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. The external links I reverted were matching the following regex rule(s): rule: 'tripod\.com' (link(s): http://demingnewmexico.tripod.com/) . If the external link you inserted or changed was to a blog, forum, free web hosting service, or similar site, then please check the information on the external site thoroughly. Note that such sites should probably not be linked to if they contain information that is in violation of the creator's copyright (see Linking to copyrighted works), or they are not written by a recognised, reliable source. Linking to sites that you are involved with is also strongly discouraged (see conflict of interest).

If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! Camp Cody Deming New Mexico

edit

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Camp Cody Deming New Mexico, and it appears to be a substantial copy of http://www.campcodydeming.110mb.com/CampCody/hst02.htm. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. Please note that an editor's statement is not enough to clear copyright issues. The website says copyright unknown author, NOT public domain. Unless the text was published before 1923, Wikipedia cannot use it. The unknown authorship also brings up problems with Wikipedia core policies of verifiability and no original research. If the text cannot be attributed to a reliable source, it should not even be used as a reference. The article is unacceptable in its current form. • Gene93k (talk) 13:50, 16 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

If this is your text...

If you own the copyright to the material: send an e-mail from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en(at)wikimedia(dot)org or a postal message to the Wikimedia Foundation permitting re-use under the GFDL, and note that you have done so on Talk:Camp Cody Deming New Mexico. It may also be necessary for the text be modified to have an encyclopedic tone and to follow Wikipedia article layout. Removal of templates and editor comments from talk pages

edit

Please do not delete legitimate talk page comments, as you did at Talk:Camp Cody Deming New Mexico. Such edits are disruptive and are considered vandalism. Thank you. • Gene93k (talk) 17:55, 16 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Please do not remove the project templates from the talk page. Editors from the military history project and WikiProject New Mexico can be helpful in making the article better. • Gene93k (talk) 17:55, 16 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Finally, I noticed that you put a NRHP infobox on the page, but Camp Cody does not appear on the NRHP listings for Luna County, NM.[1] If you have reliable references (especially a valid NRIS#), please cite them. Otherwise, introducing intentional factual errors to Wikipedia is considered vandalism. • Gene93k (talk) 17:55, 16 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Please do not remove maintenance templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Camp Cody Deming New Mexico, without resolving the problem that the template refers to, or giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your removal of this template does not appear constructive, and has been reverted. Thank you. • Gene93k (talk) 18:08, 16 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

34th Infantry Regiment

edit

I removed your Camp Cody link from the 34th Infantry Regiment (United States) article. The 34th Regiment and 34th Infantry Division (United States) are separate formations and have never been associated. In fact, the 34th Regiment was part of the 7th Infantry Division (United States) during World War I. Rklear (talk) 22:29, 18 September 2008 (UTC)Reply
