Redirects from foreign languages edit

Thanks for the full explanation. I will generally not be nominating such redirects for deletion, but I remember recently that "oogifletzet" (in Hebrew) redirecting to Cookie Monster was deleted, so I had seen that as a precedent. YechielMan 02:43, 27 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Zhang Chengzhi edit

I was about to put uw-delete1 here, but noticed you are an experienced editor. It looks like your edit to Zhang Chengzhi removed about 2/3 of the article in addition to the category as mentioned in the edit summary, so i reverted it. I did remove the category, as your reasoning was sound. Thought you should know. AndyBQ 17:10, 12 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Seems you got it while i was writing this comment. Carryon. AndyBQ 17:11, 12 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Regarding Yellow cab edit

In regards to your suggestion that Yellow cab be moved to Yellow cab (stereotype), I agree with that suggestion completely. However, do I have to withdraw the AfD before doing so? It seems to me that if I move the article, the AfD tag will go with it. Or am I wrong about that? I have only moved/redirected 5 or 6 articles, and that has only been recently, so I am a little rusty where that is concerned. Any advice you can offer is appreciated. ---Cathal 03:32, 16 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Or, alternatively, you could just do it yourself... Oh wait, you already did... Thanks. ---Cathal 03:38, 16 May 2007 (UTC)Reply
Still figuring out some of this stuff. Cheers to you as well! ---Cathal 03:45, 16 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Airplane! edit

I'm old enough to have seen Airplane! (or Flying High as it was called here) in the cinemas. But it's been a while, so remind me: how is it relevant to List of Hindu sportspeople or List of Jews in sports? Peter Ballard 05:31, 22 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Comment at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Sabit İnce edit

Thanks for the information. But next time you tell a user this, do you think you could just notify him/her at his/her talk page? I don't mean to sound angry at you, but I was quite embarrased, especially considering that the whole community goes through AfD. Again, thanks. *Cremepuff222* "As cool as grapes..." 20:56, 24 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Hello, thanks for fixing my afd nomination. If you don't mind me asking, what did I do wrong that it wasn't appearing like it was supposed to? I thought I followed the instructions correctly... Banpei 06:50, 29 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Pants edit

Thanks for reopening the deletion discussion on the Pants article. It's the first article I've ever nominated, and I felt like it was wrong that the discussion was closed within five minutes, but I didn't know what to do about it. Candent shlimazel 11:18, 7 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Proposed guideline for lists of people edit

So there was some discussion concerning Categorisation of people by a cross section of ethnicity and occupation, like Category:Asian American actors and Category:African American actors, including a mass CfD that ended in no concensus. Following this, apparently there has been discussions concerning lists of the same nature. There is no guideline for such lists whereas there is one for such Categories, so an editor has proposed a new guideline on it. If you happen to be interested, please take a look:

Wikipedia:Proposed guideline for lists of people by ethnicity, religion, and other cultural categorizations

Request to reconsider your opinion on deletion of Clayton Middle/High School edit

Hi, Since your vote in favor of deletion at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Clayton Middle/High School, I added information from three news articles about the school which establishes notability under Wikipedia standards. Please take a look at the revised Clayton Middle/High School article and reconsider your vote. Thanks! Noroton 16:07, 18 June 2007 (UTC)Reply
