I am sorry; I can see that you have put some work into this article, but wikipedia does not retain biographical articles about people who are presently not notable.--Anthony.bradbury 13:19, 13 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

A tag has been placed on George Newall Francis Cathcart, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert notability may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is notable, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Chris 73 | Talk 13:23, 13 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

Please stop. If you continue to create inappropriate pages such as George Newall Francis Cathcart, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Sorry to be so harsh, but you keep reposting an article about yourself even though you are not notable per WP:BIO. Don't do it again or you will be blocked from editing. NawlinWiki 13:36, 13 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

just being a descendant is not notable. After all, we are almost all related somehow to someone famous. Unless this George himself has done something notable, he does not need an article. See Wikipedia:Notability for details. If you recreate the page again, you will be blocked -- Chris 73 | Talk 13:55, 13 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of File:Cafersmarathon.jpg

edit

The file File:Cafersmarathon.jpg has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Unused free use image with no clear use on the Wiki.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. fuzzy510 (talk) 06:00, 16 September 2020 (UTC)Reply
