editHello CMaterial.
I notice that you have added citations to a number of articles. Do you have any relationship to persons, publications, or institutions involved with this research? If so, please have a look at WP:COI for guidance as to how WP handles such relationships. Thanks. I've commented on your proposed edit at the Trump article talk page. Hi SPECIFICO, Thanks for your message. I'm new to Wikipedia and so was wondering how contributions are vetted for pages like Trump's, which are likely highly viewed and contested. The proposed addition was based on a peer-reviewed study of Trump's campaign rhetoric - an early one, when one considers the lagged cycle for academic publishing - and so I thought it might fit well within the subsection. As a piece of research, I hope you can understand why I view it as something more than "one opinion among many." That said, I can see why there is a need for brevity on a wikipedia about Trump. I don't have a relationship with the research, but have read several papers from the author in connection with a project and found them valuable in a few areas. I hope to be able to contribute similarly for other authors as I go through their work.
- Got it, thanks. Following an interesting author is one way to find good Wikipedia content. The other way is to look at many different authors on a given subject. Ultimately, we need to cover all widely held views with appropriate WP:WEIGHT so both approaches are needed to enable us to edit with proper balance. Good luck.
