Your user name and conflict of interest edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that your username, "CFAER", may not comply with our username policy. Please note that you may not use a username that represents the name of a company, group, organization, product, or website. Examples of usernames that are not allowed include "XYZ Company", "MyWidgetsUSA.com", and "Trammel Museum of Art". However, you are invited to use a username that contains such a name if it identifies you personally, such as "Mark at WidgetsUSA", "Jack Smith at the XY Foundation", and "WidgetFan87".

Please also note that Wikipedia does not allow accounts to be shared by multiple people, and that you may not advocate for or promote any company, group, organization, product, or website, regardless of your username. Moreover, I recommend that you read our conflict of interest guideline. If you are a single individual and are willing to contribute to Wikipedia in an unbiased manner, please create a new account or request a username change that complies with our username policy. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. Thank you. --Diannaa (talk) 00:31, 14 June 2015 (UTC)Reply

Copyright problem edit

Your addition to Center for the Arts Eagle Rock has been removed, as it appears to have added copyrighted material to Wikipedia without permission from the copyright holder. Promotional edits edit

Hello, I'm KSFT. I wanted to let you know that I undid one or more of your recent contributions to Center for the Arts Eagle Rock because they appeared to be promotional. Advertising and using Wikipedia as a "soapbox" are against Wikipedia policy and not permitted. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you. Welcome! edit

Hi CFAER, I'm from Eagle Rock and it's nice to see you all on Wikipedia! I'd be happy to answer questions about how to constructively contribute to the CFAER article and related ER articles - you can post on my talk page to ask questions if you like. Wikipedia has a lot of rules and guidelines, and it's easy to get tripped up by them when starting out with editing. It's important to note the policy about usernames: Wikipedia expects editors to contribute as individuals instead of having organizational-level names, so you'll want to follow the instructions at the top of this page to get your account renamed. Hey there, for the image at File:Screen Shot 2015-06-16 at 2.12.45 PM.png, since it already exists on the CFAER website, it's best to go through the formal Wikimedia Commons process to establish that you have permission to license it under a free license. The way to do this would be to send an email to the OTRS system from an official CFAER email address. The version you uploaded directly to Wikipedia may be renamed or removed for not having adequate evidence of permission. These rules are a bit fussy, but they help make sure that Wikipedia isn't violating people's copyrights. Dreamyshade (talk) 22:39, 16 June 2015 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of File:Screen Shot 2015-06-16 at 2.12.45 PM.png edit

A tag has been placed on File:Screen Shot 2015-06-16 at 2.12.45 PM.png requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted images or text borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. June 2015 edit

Please do not add promotional material to Wikipedia, as you did to Center for the Arts Eagle Rock. While objective prose about beliefs, products or services is acceptable, Wikipedia is not intended to be a vehicle for soapboxing, advertising or promotion. This sort of stuff does not belong in an encyclopedia article. Whpq (talk) 19:29, 17 June 2015 (UTC)Reply
