This is my proposed revision for Occidental_Petroleum#Chemical. I've added more information what Oxy's chemical sector actually does (as it falls under the "Operations" section). I've removed the last two paragraphs. The assertion made in the first (The news was largely ignored...) is not supported by the article cited, and seems to be original research. The second paragraph relates to harm done to fish in the described incident, which I don't think is especially notable.

While I agree that the paragraph about the army and its reference are wholly inappropriate to the article, I note that you have also omitted the one reference in the original articlew which is about the spill. That reference (or another one covering the incident) should be included. --ColinFine (talk) 17:18, 31 December 2010 (UTC)
