Hi Anna,

I have created an user "busybee007". Now, do i need to do any document transferring from "bmi bmi" to "busybee007"? Last time when I used the centralized function was directed by user "puffy", I didn't automatically learn that. However, let me re-figure it again. What is this sandbox (subpage)? Is that what "cloveapple" is suggesting to use as a personal page? IF so, can you give me some guidances?

thanks, Busybee007 (talk) 01:46, 24 October 2011 (UTC)Reply

Hello and welcome again. :)
I suggest that you redirect your old usernames bmi bmi and FML198 to this page. You don't need to transfer anything. But, you can make links here to those old userpages, if you want. Ask if you need help with that.
Basically, you have your user page, this talk page, sandboxes (links are on your user page), and BMI Appraisals in your sphere. Expand you sphere as you see fit. Discussions regarding BMI can take place at that article's talk page. Your talk page here...well...you know how talk pages work. It's probably a good idea to continue conversations at one location. Here's the format:
Indent

Indent your posts on talk pages with colons. Like this:

I like rabbits.
:Me too.
::Do you have a rabbit?
:::Yes. I have three.

I like snakes.
:Oh. I don't like snakes.
::Why?
:::I am scared of snakes.

I started your user page. I hope you don't mind. You can access it by clicking "user page" at the top. Please feel free to modify it any way you like. It's yours and nobody ever touches another person's user page. I added things just to get you started and show you how it can be.
Have you figured out the watchlist thing? History? "Diffs"?
Don't worry about BMI. Nobody will rush in and delete it. Take your time.
If you have any questions, just ask. I'm here to help. :) Anna Frodesiak (talk) 02:23, 24 October 2011 (UTC)Reply

Questions for ANNA - Sandbox

edit

Hi Anna,

I am on the BMI article, so don't think i am a slacker :-)..... Appreciate your kind understanding...... :-)

Before that, I have questions about sandbox.... what is it? is it some sort of a "draft" section before we post an official article? Sorry to bother you.... If so, then I will post my re-write *draft* there.

also, how did you create the pink box in my "talk" section? Can I do some effects in my article??? Can you point me to the technical instructions on those and I will print them out to learn it myself. further, the is there a way to easily change the pic on my user page... the pic you use is kinda..... hmmm..... not my style... hahahaha.....

thanks a bunch.

Hello Busybee,
Take your time with BMI.
The three sandboxes are you own space. You can use them to work on drafts. Use them however you like.
Below is a welcome with links to technical instructions.
I put a link on your user page for images you can choose for your user page. Click edit on your user page to see how images are added, and to select any text you wish to display.

Hello Anna,
None mind at all. I also changed the picture by uploading one into the Wikipedia photo database. I wonder how to center the picture so that it's not on the side of my user page.
thanks.

Hi Anna,

I have re-write the BMI article. Let me know what you think.

Also, how come I can easily go into an article to edit without much restriction? Can I do that to other's article in such manner as well?

thanks,

BMI - Rewrite

edit

Hi Anna,

I saw the comment on the BMI article, mainly around:

1. layout guide; 2. bare citation; 3. the tone of the article; 4. orphan;

I will look into each and see how I can correct some of them, once I have read the detail about each area.

thanks,

Busybee

Hello Busy,
I must say that the article is written in the most glowing terms. It sings the praises of your company. It is promotional. It reads exactly like something that was written by the company itself. It is not neutral. Please, remove all but the facts. No value judgments. As it stands now, there is a good chance that another editor will come along and nominate it for deletion on the grounds that it is self-promotional. They would be right to do so.
I am sure you can manage this without my help. Here is a good approach: Imagine that you work for BMI's major competitor. How would you write it then? Good luck, Anna Frodesiak (talk) 02:09, 28 October 2011 (UTC)Reply

bmi - deletions

edit

Hi anna, thanks for the notice on deletion. I will be working on it. Is there a way to inform the editors that I am working on it? I will try state straight forward content and basically really dry descriptions. will also incorporate your suggested "competitor's view" more. thanks busybeeBusybee007 (talk) 15:34, 28 October 2011 (UTC)Reply

No doubt, several editors are watching the page, and will track your changes.
If you wish to contact various editors, you can do so at their talk pages.
"Dry descriptions" certainly will help, but the page may end up deleted anyway, on grounds of lack of notability.
Best of luck, Anna Frodesiak (talk) 21:26, 29 October 2011 (UTC)Reply

For your information

Hi Anna,
MUCH APPRECIATED!!  :-) I have posted my idea on the discussion section under the deletion page. I have asked some questions on that page as well, perhaps I can get some feedback and write better.
Re-writing again.
thanks,
p.s I am quoting you as my "guidian" angel.... hahaha... hope you don't mind. You are soooooo cool!!
