Request reason:

Your reason here Burgermac (talk) 08:56, 30 August 2023 (UTC)} Ref: 11:49, 6 November 2022 Jimfbleak blocked WikiPacster an expiration time of indefinite (account creation blocked) (Promotion / advertising-only account: undisclosed paid editor) Hi, I don't know why I was blocked. The "advertising" seems strange as only factual information was added. This subject matter is difficult because it is so unknown because it is about the beginning of commercial advertising portals (globally) on the web that of course were begun before the launch of the web browser (before Craig's List, Realtor.com etc etc) - which was launched while we were using floppy discs to distribute data via snail mail. So, there isn't any digital trail online. I am the only person who has any digital files and that is just VB and SQL code! I did upload copies of printed evidence. What should I do, please? (I have attempted to upload information here over many years and just give up but the World should know about the origins of these portals, not just about the well-known high-profile influencers).Reply

Decline reason:

Per below, and more importantly because this account, as noted, isn't blocked so it can't be unblocked. — Daniel Case (talk) 04:23, 2 September 2023 (UTC)Reply

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Wikipedia is only interested in what reliable and independent sources have chosen to publish about a topic. Significant coverage of a topic by these types of sources is required for it to be considered notable enough for inclusion. Your own unpublished personal knowledge will not be accepted because it is inherently unverifiable. If information about a topic doesn't exist in published sources, then it cannot exist on Wikipedia.
As noted below, creating a new account while your original account is blocked is considered sockpuppetry. You can only request an unblock from your original account. --Drm310 🍁 (talk) 15:32, 30 August 2023 (UTC)Reply
On closer inspection, this is the older account. So are you admitting that you had created the WikiPacster account while you still had control of this account? Can you explain why you did that? --Drm310 🍁 (talk) 20:54, 30 August 2023 (UTC)Reply
Drm310 Thanks. An odd one this, with the unblock request in the wrong place, and also the only edit by an apparent sock account. I could block this account, but provided it's not used for any other edits, I'll hold off until any unblock request on the master account is resolved Jimfbleak - talk to me? 07:38, 31 August 2023 (UTC)Reply

Again I can't follow the Wiki process but here goes again (using another mechanism as advised by the Wiki msg when I hit reply on the email). Re: >Decline reason: >Per below, and more importantly because this account, as noted, isn't blocked so it can't be unblocked. — Daniel Case (talk) 04:23, 2 September 2023 (UTC) How can you or I delete one of my user accounts so I can proceed without "sock puppetry" (if I can ever recover from this exhausting effort at sometime in the future), please? (Just as a note, there is absolutely no way some of the entries in Wiki are published elsewhere. And given most of of ours was printed before the advent of the browser and has no digital records, except for a couple in the Wayback machine, and we weren't part of the modern startup hype/pump industry, I'd be very interested in how many other pre-1994 groups have proven their provenanance? (We provided photos of printed material but ....!?) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 49.183.18.61 (talk) 08:53, 4 September 2023 (UTC)Reply

You just need to request your unblock on your account, @WikiPacster. 🔥YesI'mOnFire🔥(ContainThisEmber?) 03:20, 5 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
I thought that is what I have been doing and the various responses are just that I should be blocked because of sock puppetry. So I explain myself and explain myself and request a deletion of either account and then get your reply that sounds so simple but I'm left scratching my head. I seriously feel like screaming in frustration but instead just run away. 49.183.18.61 (talk) 01:45, 6 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
@49.183.18.61
Firstly, accounts, once created, can not be deleted (the reason is that they may have edits, and if you deleted the accounts, then there is nothing to attribute to the edits they made).
Secondly, I am making a simple request: Log in to your account @WikiPacster, request your unblock just like what you have done to this account, and wait until someone reviews it (don't tell me you have forgotten or lost your password). 🔥YesI'mOnFire🔥(ContainThisEmber?) 02:41, 10 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
I thought I have already done that but am caught-up in this interminable loop without resolve.
Do you have a link please? (So many of the Talk & Reply links etc just say I'm locked). 49.183.24.176 (talk) 03:35, 10 September 2023 (UTC)Reply

Hello, Burgermac, welcome to Wikipedia and thank you for your contributions. Your editing pattern indicates that you may be using multiple accounts or coordinating editing with people outside Wikipedia. Our policy on multiple accounts usually does not allow this, and users who misuse multiple accounts may be blocked from editing. If you operate multiple accounts directly or with the help of another person, please disclose these connections. Thank you. 🔥YesI'mOnFire🔥(ContainThisEmber?) 10:48, 30 August 2023 (UTC)Reply

@Burgermac: Your new account, WikiPacster, can still request an unblock on the talk page.
There is no need to request unblock here. 🔥YesI'mOnFire🔥(ContainThisEmber?) 01:45, 31 August 2023 (UTC)Reply
@Burgermac Please request unblock on your old account or you might be permanently banned for sock puppetry 🔥YesI'mOnFire🔥(ContainThisEmber?) 10:51, 30 August 2023 (UTC)Reply
