Hello, Bullpups1988, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Edit summaries

edit

Hi Bullpups1988. It's a really good idea to leave an edit summary for your edits because otherwise nobody will understand why you're making a change to an article. Sometimes the reasons an edit was made is quite obvious (e.g. a spelling correction or fixing some broken syntax), but any time you add or remove content like you did here the reasons for the edit may not be so clear. Ideally, the edit sum should explain why you made the edit and what Wikipedia policy or guideline requires the change be made, but a more simple explanation often can help. Edits without edit summaries (particularly those where content is removed) are often flagged for review and subsequently reverted by other editor simply because they are unable to tell whether the change is an improvement. -- Marchjuly (talk) 01:54, 21 April 2019 (UTC)Reply

National University (Philippines)

edit

Hi again Bullpups1988. From looking at your editing contributions, all of your edits (except two) have been to National University (Philippines) since you're account was created. You make a bunch of edits, go away and then come back at a later date to make another bunch of edits. While there is nothing wrong with being a single-purpose account per se, it does give off the impression that you may some how be connected to the subject matter in some way. So, if by chance you are connected to the university in some way, please take a close look at Wikipedia:Plain and simple conflict of interest guide. Having a connection doesn't mean you shouldn't ever edit the article again, but the nature of your connection will effect the types of edits you should be making. So, if you're connection is casual (i.e. a former/current student that just wants to update the article), then that's not really a conflict of interest and you just need to edit the article in accordance with general Wikipedia policies and guidelines. On the other hand, if your connection is more formal (i.e. your an employee of the university or have been asked by someone at the university to update the article), then you're going to be expected to comply with not only the general Wikipedia policies and guidelines, but also those related to conflict-of-interest editing whenever you edit the article. -- Marchjuly (talk) 02:08, 21 April 2019 (UTC)Reply
