October 2008 edit

Welcome, and thank you for experimenting with Wikipedia. Your test on the page Talk:September 11 attacks worked, and it has been reverted or removed.   Please do not add unreferenced or poorly referenced information, especially if controversial, to articles or any other page on Wikipedia about living persons, as you did to Talk:September 11 attacks. If you are going to make allegations about a living person, you must back them up by citing a reliable source and you must take care never to quote an allegation as if it were a fact. I reverted your edit because it included a contentious statement about a living person which was not backed up by a reliable source. I'm sorry if that wasn't clear from the above message. Note that most statements in Wikipedia articles should first have been published in a reliable source, and this should be independently verifiable by readers. Due to legal concerns, and out of a moral obligation to "do no harm", even stricter conditions are placed on what can be said anywhere on Wikipedia about living people. This is all covered in the policy on biographies of living people.
I hope that you'll find some helpful information in the welcome message I've left at the top of this page. There are a lot of good links there. Regards, SHEFFIELDSTEELTALK 21:34, 30 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
