Hello, Brytang, and welcome to Wikipedia! My name is Ian and I work with the Wiki Education Foundation; I help support students who are editing as part of a class assignment.

I hope you enjoy editing here. If you haven't already done so, please check out the student training library, which introduces you to editing and Wikipedia's core principles. You may also want to check out the Teahouse, a community of Wikipedia editors dedicated to helping new users. Below are some resources to help you get started editing.

Content:

  • The caption for the first image on your wiki seems to be cut off – I don’t know if that is just on my desktop or not
  • For all your other images, add a caption like you have done with this one
  • Is it Dhmeier or Dohmeier? You have written both (in the intro and synthesis parts respectively)
  • What are the harsh conditions required for AlCl generation – you state this but don’t go into any detail
  • Check units for your Raman characterisation – need -1 to be superscript
  • When talking about NBOs you make the comparison between the charge transfer values of [Cp*Al]4 and [CpAl]4 – I think you have included an extra * in the formula of the second complex by accident
  • What are the impacts of the tetramer having a smaller HOMO-LUMO gap?
  • When referring to elements, I would use their full name rather than symbol (Ar, Hg)
  • I think you have pluralised the word iminalanes by mistake at one point in the reactivity section

References:

  • You have no references right now for me to check but when you are uploading them add a link to the article page
  • You must have references to account for all the facts and figures you present

General comments:

  • I would try and include chemdraw reaction schemes as images in your wiki rather than just talking about the reactions – this may be easier to understand for readers who don’t have such a strong scientific background (i.e. tetrahedron / heterocubanes)
  • You have defined the abbreviations really well
  • I think your page could benefit from having links to other pages within it; ones that I would maybe consider adding would be regarding the following words - toluene / diethyl ether / reduction / kelvin / disproportionation / iminoalane / oxidative addition / azide
  • Maybe include the main authors name when discussing their work
  • Try and include some more characterisation of the compounds mentioned – you talked a lot about the structure of AlCp* itself but what about the compounds it goes onto make?
  • When including characterisation information, be sure to be consistent with the number of significant figures you report

Overall the page is really well written but it lacks references – these need to be added ASAP!
