If you have found this page you will have noticed I was blocked for refusing to violate the NOR- and NPoV-policies. A few paraphases of the reasons given by Wikipedians for this:

"Sure, the system of plant classification that we enforce on each and every page is a synthesis not found in the real world, but it is not a NOR-violation, because no research went into it; somebody just made it up on the fly."
"Yeah, if we were going by the facts, you would be right, but this is Wikipedia. We serve a higher purpose and the facts don't come into it; you are wrong."
and of course the perennial favorite "Please provide sources for the statements you did not make."

Looking back, it is clear that there is nothing in this world that has done so much and such lasting damage to the public perception of plant science as this enwiki. - Brya (talk) 11:41, 15 November 2021 (UTC)Reply
