Lama

There's lots of difference in the person with surname as lama(example=Pemba Lama) and real Lama who'd completed the three years three months of retreat without moving out of retreat center and having success in liberating other sentient beings as directed by the great masters of Nyingma/Kagyud or Sakya lineage. So person with just a surname aren't a real Lama as having the surname as Lama cannot benefit other sentient beings, if you checkout in Nepal you'll find a lots of businessmen and so others with the surname as Lama and lots of person such person(those having the lama as surname) doesn't even know the real meaning of Lama and it's the normal tradition for most of Buddhist peoples in Nepal to have the Lama as surname, and the surname as Lama is the normal for both male and female persons(example= Karma Lama, Pemba Lama, Dolma Lama, Pinky Lama, Mary Lama etc). The yolmo people writes their full name as Gyamtso Lama Yolmo, Nima Drolma Yolmo, Pemba Lama Yolmo, Dawa Dolma Lama Yolmo, Kazi Lama Yolmo, Tsering Lama Yolmo etc. The Yolmo person with surname Lama were regarded as true Lama in the past and nowdays it's changing as the learned scholar monks are generally growing in numbers in parts of Yolmo and everybody's getting to know the differences of person with surname Lama and real Lama(wise skilled Monk). It's believed that the Wise monks are going to rule the parts of Yolmo region with the messages of wisdom and compassion to benefit all those who stays in Yolmo. His Holiness Chatral Rinpoche(Jadral Sangey Dorje Rinpoche) etc has been playing the role of great Buddhas and Bodhisattavas by guiding the Yolmo peoples with enormous wisdom and compassion. pemba lama 12:23, 27 September 2010 (UTC)

SPOKEN WORDS

The Yolmo people speaks the simple Tibetan words in very simple tone, almost all of the YOLMO words are found in most of popular Tibetan dictionaries.

This is an encyclopedia
