Your account has been indefinitely blocked from editing because of the following problems: the account has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia, and your username indicates that the account represents a business, organisation, group, or web site, which is against the username policy.

You may request a change of username and unblock if you intend to make useful contributions instead of promoting your business or organization. To do this, first search Special:CentralAuth for available usernames that comply with the username policy. Once you have found an acceptable username, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with your new username and replace the text "Your reason here" with your reasons to be unblocked. In your reasons, you must:

  • Disclose any compensation you may receive for your contributions in accordance with the paid-contribution disclosure requirement.
  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
Appeals: If, after reviewing the guide to appealing blocks, you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal it by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your reason here" with the reasons you believe the block was an error, and publish the page. Jimfbleak - talk to me? 11:48, 12 December 2022 (UTC)Reply

Request reason:

Hi there -- I understand the reason for my block, I apologize for my lack of understanding, I'm definitely new to this. My intention in creating this account was to write an article about Swee-Touch-Nee tea, which is why I chose that as the username. My intentions are purely for educational reasons and to provide information about an important part of Jewish American culture and history. I do not and will not receive any payment or reimbursements for any of the brands or products mentioned. I am a direct descendant of the Swee-Touch-Nee founder and my sole intention is to provide and share information about the history of the tea and its impact on Jewish culture in America. I will change my username and adjust any language in the article as needed. Thank you for your consideration and assistance! Sweetouchnee (talk) 20:09, 12 December 2022 (UTC)

I am removing the block. Good luck. 331dot (talk) 15:17, 13 December 2022 (UTC)Reply

Am I correct that the brand is now owned by another company? Other than being a descendant of the founder, do you have any involvement with it, or the tea industry more broadly? 331dot (talk) 21:36, 12 December 2022 (UTC)Reply

That is correct, the Swee-Touch-Nee brand was purchased by another company upon my grandparent's retirement in 2015. I have no communication with or association to the new owners (in fact, I had to look up the name of the new company/owners upon assembling details for this article). I live in a different country entirely and have no involvement with or association with any company or individual in the tea industry. Sweetouchnee (talk) 23:19, 12 December 2022 (UTC)Reply
Jimfbleak This seems okay to me, but if I'm missing something, please let me know of any concerns you have. 331dot (talk) 13:30, 13 December 2022 (UTC)Reply
331dot no objection to the unblock. The draft as it stands has unreferenced statements, but it's basically OK, some data on production etc might help if available Jimfbleak - talk to me? 14:23, 13 December 2022 (UTC)Reply
