Interstellar Formaldehyde

Hello, Brianphelan. I have taken the opportunity to clean up your article to comply with Wikipedia reference syntax. In the future, please use the proper syntax: Text<ref>Reference text</ref>. This will create a superscripted hyperlink in the text and place the actual reference at the bottom of the article (if you remember to include of the {{reflist}} template or the <references/> tag). Also, for citations from academic journals, please consider using the {{citejournal}} template, which will produce consistently formatted references across Wikipedia. The reference style used in your article may be common among astrophysicists, but may not be sufficient for the general public to verify your references. Specifically, the use of a year of publication, followed by two numbers may not be sufficiently clear. Thanks for your contribution!! WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 15:00, 30 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

  • I've moved the text into the main formaldehyde article and redirected the page you created there. This way we can avoid needless fragmentation without losing content. - Mgm|(talk) 12:59, 31 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

Interstellar formaldehyde advice and suggestions

edit

By the way, nice to see a new editor, especially one with such knowledge. So welcome. I recommend that you (or your teacher, if you working on a class project) communicate in advance about your editing plans at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Chemistry or at Talk:Formaldehyde. My reasoning is that astrophysical details on this molecule seems fairly specialized for a general encyclopedia, don't you think? So if you ask around before these large contributions, you might get some advice that would help guide your writing.--Smokefoot (talk) 13:59, 16 December 2008 (UTC)Reply
