Fair use rationale for Image:Cloud_9_The_3_Day_High.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Cloud_9_The_3_Day_High.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. BigrTex 19:46, 15 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Skyzoo-Corner Store Classic+back cover.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Skyzoo-Corner Store Classic+back cover.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 10:10, 29 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Reference format

edit

Hi, I saw your comment regarding the reference not working. The reason why was because you put:

<ref name=RealTalkNY/>([[October 9]] [[2007]]). [http://realtalkny.rawkus.com/2007/10/topic/artists/jay-z/jay-z-dead-presidents-iii-preview/ Jay-Z Dead Presidents III Preview]. RealTalkNY. Accessed [[October 10]] [[2007]].</ref>

When it should have been:

<ref name=RealTalkNY>([[October 9]] [[2007]]). [http://realtalkny.rawkus.com/2007/10/topic/artists/jay-z/jay-z-dead-presidents-iii-preview/ Jay-Z Dead Presidents III Preview]. RealTalkNY. Accessed [[October 10]] [[2007]].</ref>

You added an extra / after "RealTalkNY" which made wikipedia recognise the beggining of the reference as the end.

Hop this helps! --¤ The-G-Unit-฿oss ¤ 19:02, 10 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Why did you remove Yung Joc and Gorilla Zoe from the Bad Boy template?

As far as I know, they're still on. Until I see proof to the contrary, I will revert it. Tom Danson (talk) 02:45, 5 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

AfD nomination of Politics As Usual (album)

edit

I have nominated Politics As Usual (album), an article you created, for deletion. I do not feel that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Politics As Usual (album). Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? --  Darth Mike  (Talk Contribs) 02:38, 2 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

The album cannot be notable under criteria for musicians. (#6 refers to bands with at least one notable member, not albums with at least one notable guest...) - Mdsummermsw (talk) 14:15, 6 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
