Please do not add original research or novel syntheses of published material to articles as you apparently did to Dime Community Bank. Please cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. Thank you. JesseRafe (talk) 18:06, 16 October 2018 (UTC)Reply

Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to vandalize pages by deliberately introducing incorrect information, as you did at Dime Community Bank, you may be blocked from editing. JesseRafe (talk) 16:45, 26 October 2018 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for your help, I am new to editing here. What information are you referring to as incorrect? I am definitely not trying to vandalize the page, so any help is appreciated. Is it the change from Williamsburgh to Brooklyn Heights? Dime's headquarters is located in Brooklyn Heights, they moved a few years ago. They are now located at 300 Cadman Plaza West, 8th Floor Brooklyn, NY 11201 in the Brooklyn Heights neighborhood, that is what is on their corporate profile. Is there something else I am introducing that seems wrong to you? --Bpressman (talk) 17:03, 26 October 2018 (UTC)Reply
Is this a better source to site for where they are based? https://brooklynreporter.com/2017/05/dime-community-bank-opens-new-headquarters-one-pierrepont-plaza/--Bpressman (talk) 17:18, 26 October 2018 (UTC)Reply
The source you added when you changed it to Brooklyn Heights didn't say anything about that, and the rest of the article still references its headquarters in Williamsburg. Cadman Plaza is in Downtown Brooklyn, anyway, an adjacent neighborhood. Also, I've said this before, do NOT bulldoze over prior information, but add it complementarily, this means changing the tense of verbs and sentences and editing the whole article to make it consistent, not removing previous information entirely. "Contact info" is also not a reliable source, it could just be where they receive their mail or the communications department is based. It looks like the Brooklyn Reporter article is what you should add, but do it in a way that acknowledges the facts in that paper, that the headquarters moved, instead of intentionally suggesting the counterfactual idea that their headquarters were also in Brooklyn Heights. It was headquartered in Williamsburg for a very long time as that was its original name, and that should still be reflected on the page. JesseRafe (talk) 20:16, 26 October 2018 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for the followup. Let me know if the edit I just made fits, I tried to keep the original while calling out the move. I've seen their building listed in Brooklyn Heights (for example on the Brooklyn Heights blog http://brooklynheightsblog.com/archives/tag/one-pierrepont-plaza) but it is right at the edge of the neighborhood.--Bpressman (talk) 20:55, 26 October 2018 (UTC)Reply

I added in some additional areas of focus for products - they do offer business banking and commercial lending as well as personal banking. The only source I have for that is their own website, or in various articles where they give a summary of Dime's business. I wasn't sure how to reference that.
