This group does a very good job of expanding upon the original Wikipedia topics. The reorganization of the page was very smartly thought out as well as the placement of the figures. The background they added does a very good job of explaining the main premise for the binding factor. However, the background scores an 11.7 on the Flesch-Kincaid Readability scale, which implies that it is more fit for people with a science background. For example, since the Myb-domain is not linked that is an important topic to explain, so that readers fully understand what the significance of that domain is to TRF2. If an explanation seems to convolute the introduction, then perhaps just link to the Myb gene. Additionally, I read the reference on SLX4. It is a very interesting article that goes in depth on DNA repair. While it defeats the purpose to go in depth about SLX4 in this wiki article, please link it to the wiki page for SLX4. The group does a good job of linking many important terms, however I believe it would be beneficial to review the wiki again for terms that are very obscure and are not colloquial. I really like the addition of ATM Kinase in the function section and its association with DNA repair. The one suggestion I would say is to see if there is a more relatable Regarding the structure section, I wish the figure was a little clearer. Also when talking about the four domains of TRF2, don’t assume the picture will load. Yes, it should support the information, however if it doesn’t load that information will be lost. While I wouldn’t encourage including all of the image info in your written part, I would suggest at least naming the basic and hinge domain in the written part instead of referring to them as “the other two”. The references seem accurate as well as the figures add to the discussion, especially the interaction figure. This was a very informative topic and they did a good job expanding on the topic.
