Notability of Jill Wolfson

edit

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Jill Wolfson, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Jill Wolfson seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Jill Wolfson, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions to the Cold Hands Warm Heart article, but for legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted.

You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must include on the external site the statement "I, (name), am the author of this article, (article name), and I release its content under the terms of the GNU Free Documentation License, Version 1.3 and later."

You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question at the "Help Desk". You can also leave a message on my talk page. --PMDrive1061 (talk) 03:38, 3 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

  • Hi! I did a Google search of the plot synopsis and it ccame back word-for-word on at least two other sites. Because of legal concerns, this site cannot accept any material cut and pasted from copyrighted websites. You're certainly welcome to create the article and use the other sites as references, but the end result here must be in your own words. --PMDrive1061 (talk) 03:56, 3 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

Please don't repost copyrighted material. That plot synopsis Googles back to three other sites including that of Macmillan Publishing. We cannot accept any copyrighted material of any type. --PMDrive1061 (talk) 04:01, 3 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

Please, please, please do not repost copyrighted material. I've temporarily locked down the title from further recreation until we can settle this. In short, the book seems notable enough. That's good. However, the synopsis must be in your own words. I simply cannot stress that enough. Even if you're the one who wrote it in the first place, it still cannot be used here without first releasing it to this site's license over on the other sites. That basically voids your copyright. I'm trying to help you. Please allow me to do so. --PMDrive1061 (talk) 04:09, 3 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

  • You should be good to go. If not, it's because of an occasional bug in the system. It sometimes takes time to release the title. Anyway, thank you so much for understanding. --PMDrive1061 (talk) 04:13, 3 March 2009 (UTC)Reply
