Speedy deletion nomination of Ashley Attwood

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Ashley Attwood requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. →Bmusician 07:40, 9 May 2012 (UTC)Reply

This will allow you to make your case on the page's talk page. Administrators will consider your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Proposed deletion/no sources on Ashley Attwood

edit

Since you noted in the article text that Attwood is a "celebrity", this is an assertion of notability, and so the article hasn't been speedily deleted. However, the article cites no sources. We require all article content to be attributed to a reliable source. This is especially critical on the biography of a living person, and accordingly, any such biography which cites no reliable sources is subject to deletion if it remains without such sources for ten days. Do you know of any sources that cover Attwood in depth? If you do, I'd be happy to help you evaluate them. If there are no such, or only sources that cover her in passing or trivially, I'm afraid it'd not be appropriate to have an article about her. If that's the case, no action is required, the article will just be deleted after ten days have passed. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them either here (I've got the page on watch), or on my talk page. Seraphimblade Talk to me 09:10, 9 May 2012 (UTC)Reply
