Image copyright problem with Image:BSicon uexDOCKl.svg

Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading Image:BSicon uexDOCKl.svg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI 16:51, 22 September 2007 (UTC)

Help with Templates

I am trying to modify the Canalrow we use on the Template:Waterways legend to handle the case where the icon in the first column does not exist. I have noticed the #ifexist: construct, and have read the help pages over and over, but still do not know if it will do what I want. What I really want to do is only draw the symbol in the first column if it exists. The line with the BSicon_uLCROSS:   shows what it should look like, but I had to create a new type of canal row to do it, and I would rather the basic canal row coped with both cases. So in this case, if BSicon_uCROSS.svg exists, then draw it, otherwise not. Any help gratefully received.Bob1960evens 18:05, 7 October 2007 (UTC)

I think you would benefit from a look at m:ParserFunctions#.23ifexist:. şœśэїŝәқι[[User

I gave #ifexist a try, and nearly got it to work, but some of the images are on Wikipedia and some are on commons, and it does not detect if they are on commons. In theory, there is an "exists" function, which should cope, but it cannot find it when I put it in my canalrow template. Oh well, nearly but not quite! Bob1960evens 21:47, 7 October 2007 (UTC)
Hmm, interesting. Try asking somewhere else. şœśэїŝәқιᅥṱᾅἻқᅡ 22:35, 7 October 2007 (UTC)
Does anyone know if there is a way to detect whether an image exists, when it may either be on Wikipedia or on Commons? #ifexist does not handle commons, and "exists" does not appear to exist, despite what the help page says. Bob1960evens 18:55, 8 October 2007 (UTC)
Thats odd. I would try posting to the helpdesk but I do not believe there is a way to check images on Wikimedia Commons.- Rjd0060 19:17, 8 October 2007 (UTC)
