Image without license edit

Unspecified source/license for File:CJ logo.png edit

Thanks for uploading File:CJ logo.png. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. Even if you created the image yourself, you still need to release it so Wikipedia can use it. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time after the next seven days. If you made this image yourself, you can use copyright tags like {{PD-self}} (to release all rights), {{self|CC-by-sa-3.0|GFDL}} (to require that you be credited), or any tag here - just go to the image, click edit, and add one of those. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by MifterBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. NOTE: Once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. --MifterBot (TalkContribsOwner) 12:45, 17 September 2019 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Caucasian Journal edit

The article Caucasian Journal has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No indication of notability (yet?) WP;TOOSOON.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Nomination of Caucasian Journal for deletion edit

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Caucasian Journal is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Caucasian Journal until a consensus is reached, and anyone, including you, is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article. Randykitty (talk) 19:20, 27 November 2019 (UTC)Reply

Caucasian Journal edit

I received your email. Feel free to contact me on-wiki with anything concerning this article. Wikipedians prefer to communicate in the open unless there is a security reason for not doing so.

As linked above, the consensus and reasons for the article's deletion are documented at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Caucasian Journal. (not watching, please {{ping}}) czar 18:32, 19 December 2019 (UTC)Reply

Article was deleted despite that:

1) Consensus about deletion was NOT reached; 2) Article was improved after nomination for deletion. Therefore I consider this as an obvious case of WP:OZD (Overzealous deletion) Blanes 19 December 2019 (UTC)

The discussion was open for three weeks and no one objected even weeks after your sources were added. The consensus was clear. Normally I'd advise you to reach out to the discussion participants if you felt they individually missed some aspect of your sourcing but as a courtesy, I've relisted the discussion for one more week of discussion. Please participate there and remember that (1) disagreeing with an outcome does not mean that there is no consensus, (2) that adding sources will not guarantee that an article is kept since articles require significant coverage in multiple reliable, independent sources (?), and (3) there are plenty of other ways to contribute to the encyclopedia if the article is deleted for lacking significant coverage. I believe we have different views on what the word "consensus" means. According to Merriam-Webster, the Latin word consensus means general agreement,UNANIMITY. In the case discussed, as far as I can recall, there was at least one comment against deletion, specifically asking to keep the article (on the grounds that the journal was important for civil society or something like that). Therefore, according to the said definition, we cannot observe consensus in the sense of UNANIMITY of opinions, IMHO.Blanes 20 December 2019 (UTC)
Consensus on Wikipedia does not mean unanimity. If you read through the linked guidelines, I think you'll find WP's guidelines to be logical (in turn, this is mostly thanks to consensus-based decision-making). What you recall about the discussion is incorrect but very easy to verify by simply viewing the discussion. If you have any further questions about this article, please participate in the linked discussion. czar 13:30, 20 December 2019 (UTC)Reply

File permission problem with File:CJ logo.png edit

Thanks for uploading File:CJ logo.png. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{permission pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. Here is a list of your uploads. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F11 of the criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. --Minorax«¦talk¦» 15:14, 18 March 2023 (UTC)Reply
