- Something tells me that Nihlus was behind it. I don't want to point fingers on anyone but do look here and here. The gap between edit 1 and edit 2 are more then 30 minutes long. Obviously enough time to create a separate account. And as for malicious purpose, check this out. Nihlus, not everything has to end at ANI, and not every gentlemanly besmirch of someone's honor needs immediate satisfaction. - @Biografer: I'm not sure why you put so much faith in me, but I echo the suggestions that you should not blame other specified editors without actual evidence. If you think you have evidence, you should file a sockpuppet report at WP:SPI and provide that evidence - but I think it is very likely that anything along the lines of just "The gap between edit 1 and edit 2 are more then 30 minutes long. Obviously enough time to create a separate account" would be rejected as insufficient. So please, either file a sockpuppet report, or drop your accusations against User:Nihlus.
On to the troll, yes, it's surely not just random and is very possibly someone you've had a disagreement with before - though I don't see enough to have any actual suspects myself right now. But, I've also seen cases of long-term trolls getting in on other people's disagreements just like this, to try to foment further animosity. Anyway, right now, the best we can do is revert, block, ignore (and we even have a guideline that says just that at WP:RBI).
