TinyURL

The real reference is army guide website which is on wiki blacklist. So, wiki doesn't accept that. So I used URL shortener..What else can be done??

Which is exactly why we don't use shorteners, and circumventing the blacklist is a very bad idea. If you think that an item is wrongly on the blacklist then appeal its addition at Mediawiki talk:Spam-blacklist. If it is a non-authoritative cite, then find an authoritative source. — billinghurst sDrewth 23:34, 8 March 2013 (UTC)

Blacklisting of alpao.com

Dear Billinghurst, I am quite new in editing Wikipedia. It seems that you blacklisted alpao.com on external links (from Miroir déformable and Adaptive optics). Could you please explain me why ? Thank you in adavance.

The domain was added as commercial linking across at least 10 sites, has been and had previously been removed. The wikipedias are encyclopaedias, not directory listings (please review Wikipedia:External links). — billinghurst sDrewth 10:26, 21 March 2013 (UTC)
