Speedy deletion nomination of Yogesh raj srivastava

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Yogesh raj srivastava, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. bonadea contributions talk 13:14, 2 August 2016 (UTC)Reply

Hello! Thank you for your recent contributions to Yogesh raj srivastava. I did have one note for you. I am working on a maintenance project to clean up Category:Pages using infoboxes with thumbnail images. In the future, please do not use thumbnails when adding images to an infobox (see WP:INFOBOXIMAGE). What does this mean? Well in the infobox, when you specify the image you wish to use, instead of doing it like this: |image=[[File:SomeImage.jpg|thumb|Some image caption]], instead just supply the name of the image. So in this case you can simply do: |image=SomeImage.jpg. There will then be a separate parameter for the image caption such as |caption=Some image caption. Please note that this is a generic form message I am leaving on your page because you recetly added a thumbnail to an infobox. The specific parameters for the image and caption may be different for the infobox you are using! Please consult the Template page for the infobox being used to see better documentation. Thanks!! Help me!

i have created a page in wikipedia regarding a social worker. in it a notice of speedy deletion is displayed after contest also. they suggested me to remove thumbnail i removed it but still the notice is displayed Please help me with...

Hi, the problem with the page isn't that it used a thumbnail in the infobox, (thanks for removing it though!) but is only promotional (see WP:G11). Wikipedia is not meant to be a place for advertising and articles are meant to be neutral. If you remove the promotional content, then it may possibly be acceptable, ask the user who nominated it for deletion (Bonadea) if you want to know what exactly is promotional. Also, Wikipedia articles have to be about notable subjects, which means that if it has "received significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject, it is presumed to be suitable for a stand-alone article or list". I would also suggest that you read Your First Article which explains how to write a good Wikipedia article. Then, if you wish to write another article, try using the Article Wizard, which allows you to get feedback before it is published. Hopefully this helped, but if you need more help, just leave a message on my talk page. Thanks.  Seagull123  Φ  17:16, 2 August 2016 (UTC)Reply

Just to be clear, almost every single sentence is purely promotional - it would not be possible to just remove the advertising because then there would be almost nothing left of the article. It is also likely that the article would not survive a deletion discussion since the person does not appear to be notable according to Wikipedia's definition of notability, and hence it seems like a waste of your own time to recreate the article.
