Monica Bellucci

I removed the image of Monica on the cover of the German edition of GC as per WP:FU, specifically clause eight of the unacceptable uses section: "A magazine cover, to illustrate the article on the person whose photograph is on the cover." Tabercil 20:06, 23 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Replaceable fair use Image:Mbgq.jpg

Replaceable fair use

Thanks for uploading Image:Mbgq.jpg. I noticed the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, fair use images which could be replaced by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if not used in an article), per our Fair Use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Videmus Omnia Talk 20:51, 23 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Wikipedia:Non-free content criteria

edit

Please do not modify the text of a policy without discussing it first, especially when the addition changes or contradicts a previous point in the policy. I invite you to chat at Wikipedia talk:Non-free content criteria to see if others agree with your change as well. Thanks for understanding. -- ReyBrujo 21:05, 23 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Please, do not replace free images with fair use ones, as it goes against our first point of the criteria (the free version should always be used). Thanks for understanding. -- ReyBrujo 21:07, 23 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

That is not enough to justify using a magazine cover. Check Unacceptable images: A magazine cover, to illustrate the article on the person whose photograph is on the cover. Therefore, the rationale you used cannot be considered a useful one, sorry. -- ReyBrujo 21:13, 23 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions in a content dispute within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Please do not repeatedly revert edits, but use the talk page to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. Also, Wikipedia is not a forum for promoting breast fetishism. ˉˉanetode╦╩ 21:16, 23 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

As I told you, you are invited to come to Wikipedia talk:Non-free content to discuss why you don't like the rule. -- ReyBrujo 21:20, 23 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

You really might as well not do that. Wikipedia has a well-established tradition of favoring free content, so there's no need to upload copyrighted images of living people. If you do not agree, this might not be the project for you. And I can tell you unconditionally that an encyclopedia is not a good place to add photographs of a famous woman's breasts because you find them more titillating or appropriate for purposes of identification. ˉˉanetode╦╩ 21:23, 23 September 2007 (UTC)Reply
Sorry, but no. Wikipedia is not an anarchy. If you don't agree, you discuss, don't try a revolution. As for me modifying your messages, Wikipedia:Talk page guidelines allows me to reformat messages for better readability. And the Non-free use criteria states fair use images (like magazine covers) cannot be used in talk pages, so I can remove it. Unfortunately, you appear not to grasp these concepts, so take this as your last warning: either discuss at the page I told you to, or you will be blocked for disrupting Wikipedia. -- ReyBrujo 21:30, 23 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Block notice

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 24 hours. If you continue engaging in disruptive behavior, including making juvenile and degrading comments about article subjects, your account will be blocked indefinitely. ˉˉanetode╦╩ 21:34, 23 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

I have extended your block for using a sockpuppet, User:Barateirox, to evade your block and the three-revert rule. Please take this time to step back and read the Wikipedia policies that other users have pointed out to you. Also, be aware that sockpuppetry is a very serious offense, and, as such, this should be construed as your last warning. — TKD::Talk 18:36, 24 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

You were using another sockpuppet. Please note that any further abuses will result in an indefinite block. --Yamla 20:10, 28 September 2007 (UTC)Reply
